Layoffs in December

Bottom line is that pharma reps are effective, the model works, but you have to occasionally put in some effort. But most don’t. They sit around scheming different ways to screw the company over with the all day lie, hitting the gym after two, ahem, sales calls, and dreaming of the day they’ll get their whistleblower payout. Then COVID hit and the industry finally wised up and made remote promotion possible. But the reps didn’t wanna do that either. Face it, half of you are worthless overhead and the company will be far better off without you.

You state "pharma reps are effective" and "the model works".

You're kidding right?

True (sort of), IF you could see more than 1 or 2 prescribers a day that we're lucky to see.
The average is much higher. Don’t forget the staff, people in the waiting area, restaurant, picking up the kids, etc. Pharma reps have a lot more touch points than they realize. It’s even more effective if they’re wearing a name tag
