Novartis Oncology Layoffs









i agree...two months plus... they needed us to put in all we had so they could get what they needed out of us...I have never seen a company not listen to the people treading the water to keep upper management keep a job nor have I ever seen upper management not care about it’s people...they rotate upper management in and out for them to be promoted but it only hurts the company and s and the customers and patients but I thought the patient was the most important...I heard the solid 3 reps had no clue that the price wasn’t raised on Sandostatin yet the rebate was decreased..that is so embarrassing and so wrong....I hope this change straightens up this company and it’s not people saying it’s about the patient because they have to but it truly becomes about the patient and not about Novartis
 
















I wish the best for everyone and hope that when the dust settles, remember that everything happens for a reason.....

I do hope however that CM in S4 is shown the door..... that is the best for the company and the world in general...
 




The layoffs are divided amongst low performance and high performance. Loud mouthed good for nothing gossiping individuals are still here. One guy who just talks all day long without working is still here. The upper management is clueless about the work and who does it and how. These layoffs have made it worse by keeping useless people.
 




Once again false assurances of middle and upper management cuts. No upper management and not much middle mgmt either. Kissed each others incompetent behinds well. They just move and keep moving but no cuts. The question - Is Vas really CEO material? and is little Ameet worth anything? Answer is No.
 












Many Good, hardworking, decent people with high performance are gone and leaving because they were not part of the wheeling and dealing. Many lazy and incompetent Middle management bosses provided incorrect information to upper management about competent people who were on their path to success so they themselves could be saved. Many companies will layoff useless middle and upper management but in this case it was low performers mixed with many high performers laid off by lazy middle management who conspired to have the best removed. Upper management, many who are basically just moved from one position to another did not even make an effort to validate the claims from middle management. A very sad time for a company which was once great. Lazy and rusty middle management did all the wheeling and dealing from Director level to just under VP and then VP and above just going with it.

Vas and Ameet are misfits for pharma leadership. They had no courage to layoff mid and upper management and many were **** scared and certain that they would be gone. The relief on some faces at seeing their subordinates gone was picture worthy. They saved all the incompetent Director level and above. Some very high performers are gone because these little boys lacked courage. Both McKinsey dropouts and living in some crazy utopia. Keeping the rusty people who are here more than 10 years and letting off some very competent people is a slap on the face of these people who want to take the company in a different direction. The 10 plus year veterans saved each other as these two just watched. Ameet's personality is so lousy and mousy that he should never be heading such an essential part of the org. Vas, the Harvard guy who was never a practicing physician. Ma and Pa paid and I have the degree. Respect all the physicians who are not Harvard trained and give so much to their patients. This Vas hiring trend has led to many medical personnel with a MD degree from obscure foreign places and islands with zero work experience to be retained. These idiots are so stupid and the medical organization has substantial number of these incompetence and are ruining the commercial org in the process. Everything is a disaster. This layoff should be investigated. Why is it not in the news. Novartis is just going from bad to worse to utterly disgusting.
 




Started in the right direction and then chickened out and defaulted to same old same old I kiss your behind you kiss mine and let's dump the people who can be a threat our existence.

So.. you are able to determine or "judge" if someone is calling in sick and isn't... wow what a skill.

Even healthy people get sick tough guy.... don't be a hero and get others sick too!
