Daiichi douchebags lost there ass and these dipshits are running this place into the ground! Keep joking management, everyone hates you so it will be fun to watch you go down.
I have been there. Multiple holidays and weekends. And I thought it would change for 4 years!!! Here's some fun advice. When customers start getting pissed off, give them the names and phone numbers of leaders in home office. Oh my they hate that! Let them get a little uncomfortable.
I did just this a few years back. Had a weekend case that I couldn't get approval, even though they had everything they needed. Dr. was killing me so I gave her the names of a couple of the Managers in house. They got a little ear full Monday morning and were so pissed at me. We deal with it daily! Fact is this, ZOLL holds hospitals hostage. If there was a competitor in the market place there is absolutely no way they would treat their customers this way. They would hustle to get the LV on the patient, and battle for money afterward. Instead they put sales people in the pinch, and expect you all to deal with it. Hence +40% turn over.
Did you just admit to being a nurse? Bahahaha
Cases like you described happen daily here. Worse on weekends and holidays as they run a skeleton crew, forcing those of us who are full time and scheduled to be off to cover for the lack of those who are paid on a shift schedule. It is unfair to TMs and absolutely unfair to hospitals. This place is run in an utterly incompetent manner and TMs have to cover for every inefficiency, management mistake, and erroneous policy with their personal time in order to keep hospitals off their back. No one can do this for long, hence it is rare for someone to stay beyond a year and a half.
yes. been in the industry for many years and there is NO company out there like this one. absolutely, unbridled insanity. with only 25% of the sales force making commission, what is the point of being here? $75k is not enough to keep me here - on my way out. I feel bad for the new people. they get promised so much during their interviews. too bad none of them check with anyone inside before getting hired.

Not true. I checked and realized it would be a great 2nd job. I figured if I was lied to in the interview process then it is ok to milk this cow...
No joke. Incoming people seem to have no clue. I guess the ones with a clue would never take a job here, so by definition, the ones hired have to be clueless. Cluelessness is a job requirement, should be on the job description.
Whats going on in Chicago. Are they ever going to give Conroy the RM position??? Why is he still here!!! I left 2 years ago. The grass is greener!!!!!!
I'm sick and tired of all the whining. This is an amazing organization and if you produce you will be handsomely rewarded. I've talked to my med device counterparts and the grass is certainly not greener. We are the envy of the industry and that's why people are beating down our doors to join. If you are a high caliber rep, jump on the Zoll bandwagon and enjoy the ride.Whats going on in Chicago. Are they ever going to give Conroy the RM position??? Why is he still here!!! If you believe that, I've got a bridge in the Senoran Desert I can sell you. 40-45% turnover is not very green dude. This company needs to change many things like the compensation plan and quota growth. That would be a good place to start.
In my 2 year tenure at Zoll as a TM:
* my goal was raised 109 times
* I was paid on only 65% of my orders
* Commission reversals affected 72 of 107 goal segments - creating a deficit each segment I had to overcome before my sales counted for commission. This cost me my commission many times.
* My clinical team turned over 3 times - all PSRs run off by being disregarded by management, unpaid for correcting constant errors by Zoll (bad/incomplete equipment, delayed fittings, sent to the wrong location) - forcing me to constantly recruit and train new folks and fill vacancies with my own time
* My weekends were constantly interrupted with uncommissioned and irrelevant work and patient problems that Zoll should have handled, but didn't
* I missed the last 3 family holidays because Zoll couldn't handle patient problems themselves. Why those of us scheduled to be off have to work because those who are scheduled to be on can't handle the volume, I still don't understand.
* MANY of my weekends were shot because Zoll runs a skeleton crew of scheduled staff inside, forcing those of us who are scheduled to be off to cover for the shortage. And when we call in, we are treated like WE are interrupting THEM, when WE are supposed to be off.
And despite the above list, the biggest reason is that I have never been more disregarded as an employee by any other employer in my life. I am so grateful to be gone. I have my life and my sanity back.
-constant change in upper management. What's the real reason the VPs abandoned ship?
-regional managers hired from the outside and have no clue about cardiology and product.
-2 week quotas?!?!? Really?! Is that even legal?
-constant quota growth. I understand growth but flat increase across all territories. But my AD/RM always says "all territories are different"
-21 yr old co-Ed ACs with no work ethic. Who drop everything and are out the door at 5:01 leaving TMs high and dry.
-yes, only skeleton crew after hours and weekend. And no MOs past noon on Sunday. Zoll doesn't care about service. Oh and BTW, SCD still happens on holidays, nights&weekends
I can go on and on but I have to enter my PPM.
