MED Layoffs

Gamze said...."A number of colleagues will be transitioning out of Takeda as a result". "Starting this morning, we will have a series of conversations with employees who are impacted by the news".

Colleen Picket call at 11:00AM eastern......assuming she will HATCHET all of us! Somebody make sure and ask if we can keep our severance check (due in about 3 months) if we hire on now with Sanofi-Genzyme and sell Dupixent.

So, if you get laid off by Takeda, what does the Severance package look like? Anyone know what they gave the last layoff?
I heard:
1: 2 months on the payroll because of WARN rule. Salary + 2 months 100% bonus?

2: 8 weeks + 2 weeks severance for every year worked (is that correct?). Do they round up 14years and 3 months would be 15? 1year and 4 months would be 2 years?
Salary and 100% Bonus?

3: paid vacation days (all vacation days allocated or only earned vacation days)

For those curious onlookers........ALL OF TEAM MED WAS JUST SEVERED SHORTLY AFTER 11:00AM WITH AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM COLLEEN PICKET. NO SURVIVORS!!!!

Lundbeck here. Sorry for those who were fired today. As bad as Takeda is, it’s not as bad as Lundbeck. Were any psych reps (Trintellix) involved?

Good luck to all.

Hey....they both are based in the Boston area, these people sometimes communicate and could easily share info that could cancel your severance check.
Those details will be in your separation package. If you’re gainfully employed elsewhere wouldn’t that be a long-term benefit versus the loss of severance check?

I think Takeda at this point after all they've put team MED through, is all good paying severance to those MED reps that hire on elsewhere starting tomorrow. Why wouldn't they?

I think Takeda has no problem paying severance to anyone who hires on somewhere else after today. After all the trouble with the unsuccessful drug approval which ended on a bad note for MED reps, I think Takeda will NOT enforce (if there is such a clause) any claw back on severance for signing on before the official last day, April 4th.
