Do people think these layoffs are funny? Do they laugh at the office?

Yes. They think it’s hilarious. But it’s not nearly as entertaining as hearing the HR twats stomp around the empty buildings talking shit about each other and their newest ozempic bodies while they try and convince whomever they’re speaking with that “I’m in the know”. It’s peak high school over in Cambridge now.

It was always funny hearing the miserable hr people complain about all their peers. Not realizing it was the desperate housewives of Biogen hr edition. Wallowing in their uselessness and DEI signaling competitions.

There was never enough self care in the world for that lot.

+1 wallowing in their uselessness. And this wallowing makes their actions and behavior worse. They’re collectively terrified that any day now they’ll be found out. The dunning-Kruger effect is in overdrive with these sociopaths.

The fat bloated useless HR band is one of the reasons biogens in this disgusting quagmire. This is a business, to make money. HR offers devastating corrective opinions on topics they don’t understand and hires grossly unqualified people for real positions that are needed to make the company better and grow. Biogens HR is it’s own doom-loop.

I would assume your cost cutting CEO knows this and will have HR add their names to the kill list at the conclusion of the final waves of termination.

If it’s one thing CV knows is how useless HR is. There was a semi all-hands HR meeting when he first started - I shit you not, Ginger started to speak, CV looks around and says why am I here or what is this for, and gets up and walks out at the very beginning of the meeting. He will use HR to reorg and then have them re-orged out.

All he knows how to do is tip a company upside down. His tenure at GSK and Sanofi were totally chaotic. Sanofi fired him for being rogue and not getting board approval on a slimy rebate deal he did. He totally blew up brands wherever he went.

Why not both? Besides, that doesn’t change the uselessness and interference of Biogens HR.

Hate & Retaliation (HR) has needed an overhaul for at least five years

So toxic

What no one can figure out is how they ended up being embedded in everything. To the point HR is making business decisions - with spiraling revenue. It’s been ruinous. It’s kind of shocking any of the branch presidents were ok with the arrangement.

HR has been a revolving door for years except at the upper levels where the disfunction originates. Same is true for other departments.

Please release any people manager with an annual turnover rate over 25% instead of promoting them. On 2nd thought, this ship is sunk regardless. Carry on

you’re right and it’s too late now. Only thing to do is blow it all up.

Blowing it up won't work as Biogens reputation is terrible. Biogen has titles rather than talent at this point after 6 plus years of terrible leadership.

Long past time for Ginger and their ilk to be sent packing.

Low talent, no cash, and a product line in decay. Not sure there is actually a good plan. Good luck recycling another set of other companies' losers (like Ginger).
