Yes. They think it’s hilarious. But it’s not nearly as entertaining as hearing the HR twats stomp around the empty buildings talking shit about each other and their newest ozempic bodies while they try and convince whomever they’re speaking with that “I’m in the know”. It’s peak high school over in Cambridge now.

I didn't know any of them even came in the office enough to talk shit about each other.

+1 wallowing in their uselessness. And this wallowing makes their actions and behavior worse. They’re collectively terrified that any day now they’ll be found out. The dunning-Kruger effect is in overdrive with these sociopaths.

The fat bloated useless HR band is one of the reasons biogens in this disgusting quagmire. This is a business, to make money. HR offers devastating corrective opinions on topics they don’t understand and hires grossly unqualified people for real positions that are needed to make the company better and grow. Biogens HR is it’s own doom-loop.

I have seen a couple of really good Biogen HR people in action. But it's like the rest of us. The really good people aren't the people ginger values so I'm sure they'll leave soon too. keeping the doom-loop intact.

Really good at what? In my experience, some hr directors and below did their job functions well enough. And some not so. VP and above were all inflated, useless, and largely miserable hacks.

Maybe if Biogen didn’t hire a full Alz team for 2 years that did absolutely nothing (Even gave them awards, for what? Idk)

Maybe if Biogen had us launch Vum with a different message instead of waiting 2 years to tell us to change the message. (Tec switch drug only)

Maybe we wouldn’t be in this boat.

I was part of the embarrassing launch of Aduhelm. The original poster is correct...I spent 13 months getting paid money I didn't earn. My biggest task was entering 5 fake calls per day and making sure my reach percentage was high enough.

What no one can figure out is how they ended up being embedded in everything. To the point HR is making business decisions - with spiraling revenue. It’s been ruinous. It’s kind of shocking any of the branch presidents were ok with the arrangement.

I'd be fine with HR embedded if they actually knew how to handle serious employee issues or focused on that instead of making business decisions. I thought that was the whole point. But they don't address awful situations and people get treated really badly. The one exception I've met in HR isn't the regular HR person who's embedded. it's the lady who handles investigations. I had to meet with her once for a pretty bad situation. she was professional and knowledgeable and the issue actually got handled. But she may be gone now because people like her don't last here!

Jesus you have HR making important scientific or business choices? They tend to be diversity hires and/or yes people that just handle the termination and orientation paperwork.

No wonder Biogen melted down.
