Is it true OCEAN done in September?

I love how you guys somehow want to take credit of doctors already sold on Crestor....

Stupid F#*kers.... your lists ( as jacked up as the were/are ) for the most part made up of high Crestor prescribing doctors or doctors that write branded products... You act like you are hot shit.....????? and you sold the doctors ?Big deal that you grew market share amongst current prescribers my by what .25 or .5 % .....get real.

I know your lists had some " no sees" but my rep Ocean rep does not do shit...and reaps the rewards of mature product that doctors were already sold on.

Now lets give you doctors that write only generics or have all medicare D patients where savings cards don't work and see how you do.

AZ reps are the laziest in the industry. We are taking their jobs because we a re far better. They are really nervous, as they shouold be.

I don't know what you're talking about... The lists given to the OCEAN reps did not contained few, if any, high-prescribing docs in the beginning. Most of my targets prescribed mostly generics, some were other brand loyalists, and a very few were Crestor loyalists. With that said, most of the ocean reps have been in the industry a while and know it's a crap shoot from year to year. Just because one person gets on cafepharma and starts bad-mouthing AZ reps, doesn't mean everyone's like that or that it's us against them. C'mon people, we all do the same thing, some better than others... I don't care who we work for or what we're selling. And when the numbers are down, we all have to take heat and pressure... So when they're up, why not accept some of the credit too?! It's a team effort, even though AZ (as a company) didn't really set it up that way...

The industry is moving toward contract sales forces. So many talented and senior reps with Ocean were downsized with other big pharma companies. I agree with the laziness of AZ reps from what I have seen. If Ocean has outperformed AZ Crestor reps with assined targets, then the contract should be extended.

AZ rep here. I will be the first to admit that I don't work anything close to a full day. Why you ask, because I don't fucking want to! I am concentrating on getting the hell out of AZ! The sales data has been bullshit for years, and everyone knows it! The game is rigged boys and girls. Tomorrow, I will in at the movies about 1:30 with my spouse. Still haven't seen the Avengers! Crestor can go to hell!

If you feel that way about an awesome drug like Crestor and this industry, then you need to get the hell out. Your DM obviously does not check the time stamp on your call activity. Ocean reps are glad to have this job and love promoting Crestor.

You bring up a good point. Not only do we compete with product competitors, we also have to outperfom AZ, while making AZ not feel too threatened. We all know this contract will end, so how can we be positioned to be reemployed when the next one opens up?

Wouldn't it be nice if we got some rankings or an IC scorecard?! Makes it difficult to beef up the resume!

It's like this 1. No bonus or numbers to show at next interview keeps you where they want you. 2. Goals along with results realeased together when it's over. Nothing you can do to change the outcome. 3. AZ is trying to keep Crestor numbers from falling and we are expected to grow market by what, 7 %. 4. Yes, contract might get extended because they have figured out the many different ways they can screw us and you have no choice or leave. Now it doesn't even depend on your message because there are 2 or more Crestor reps stoping by the office the same day. The doctor is getting the message weither you say it or not. They have been exposed to the word Crestor like it or not. Throw enough shit at the wall and somethng is going to stick. Watch for the call expeceted per day to go from 8 to 10 or 12 very soon. Don't even get me started with the 19 cent reinbursement for miles driven when gas is 3.80 or more a gallon. Stay sexy L.A.

POAs have been set for July. This is indeed a positive sign. The contract will likely be extended through 2013 with Crestor.

Nothing says Friday like filling out that B.S. time sheet. Pouring a glass of wine and sitting back to find out what the weekly speculation on the status of this contract is. Take all the signs you want. I still think come Sept it's done.

Don't be so naive. These are one day local meetings with a MINIMAL financial investment. There is even a tighter budget than last time for taking teams out to dinner the night before. My DM mentioned that we would need to go somewhere more cost conscious. The truth is that Publicis has no idea if this contract will be extended or not. We will have this tiny meeting to keep business rolling as usual, just in case we are actually extended. But there is no big financial loss here if we are not extended. You should be out seriously looking for a new job right now.

Also, I suspect that as soon as Publicis hears some good news from AZ about contract extension they would tell us right away, wanting to keep us all from jumping ship. We should really hear something in the second week of July. The longer we go past this point with no news, the more likely it is over. Don't think for a second that they will give us 90 days notice if the contract is ending. They will try to string us along until the end to keep us out there selling.

AZ rep here...... just came back from a meeting. Crestor volume is up as of April and the market analysts seem surprised. Brand team is happy for now and is waiting for multi-source generic atorva to hit the pharmacies to see if it will impact volume. The biggest increases were seen in Primary care markets. There is talk of pulling Ocean from Cardiology targets because of the Reps blocking access of the Reps trying to launch Brilinta ( the future revenue hope for the company). Cardiologists are a little confused and pissed off by having 4-5 Crestor reps.

I think you guys are safe because of the way your territories are constructed.

I'm with you. Kicking back with a glass of wine and a little curiosity as to what the latest speculation is on our contract. Nothing new, I see. I agree with others, these local district meetings mean nothing. I think we're done in Sept also, although there are plenty of good reasons to extend the contract. Time will tell.

Interesting. Anything come up about the CSAs? With the Crestor/Symbicort reps, the Onglyza/Crestor reps, the OCEAN reps AND the CSAs.... That's still an awful lot of reps with Crestor. I would think something would change with multi-source atorvastatin out there now.

Strange how the AZ numbers for Crestor are good maybe even great. Ours in the meantime have gone into the shitter. Publicis screws us to pay themselves more or ask for extention without having to ask for more money to keep share steady or growing. Guesss that new vendor is working out for somebody. Why would the company switch vendors anyways? It's not like we see the numbers or charts or whatever? Guess they have decided to play the same game the Pres. and so many others play in todays world, blaming the other guy. With his latest attempt to get more voters and tear this country apart, the Pres has decided to give illegals a free pass. This will seal our hopes of a contract extention and spell doom for many others with future layoffs coming. The illegals will work for less than the CSA's and think they have discovered the American dream. I have not only updated my resume and started looking for a new job but have also changed my name to Poncho Sanchez. Scary to think this would happen here in this once great country, but we are right in line behind Europe and Greece with a system that holds no one accountable for their actions.

What is the point of flying out mangers to AZ headquarters next week and having a district meeting if we are all getting canned in September??? Here's a thought..save the money and pay me a bigger bonus when we get let go.

The point is they want to keep people optimistic, motivated & working. AZ wants us all to believe, from top to the bottom, that this contract will be extended, so they have to go with along with "business as usual" in the meantime. Also, the idea is that if numbers still look good following multi-source atorvastatin, then they will keep us longer. Uh huh.

I just have an awful feeling that they'll confirm we're done right at the very end... Giving us no 2-week cushion or anything. But, I guess that's the nature of the beast. It's a contract.
