The manergers need to know how to avoid the questions thats on everyones mind. " Is the contract extended or not?" Between the worthless conference calls and the ride alongs, not to mention the upcoming POA's, what in the hell do these manangers really do? We have the info on the computers about our sales. If you want to believe what it tells you. Here is a great question for any of you at the upcoming POA's. Ask your holyness the mananger how is it that we interpret these numbers. I think you will get alot of ums, and whens, and round and around we go. they might have someone from a political background come in to teach these manangers how to avoid the question asked and get back on point. For those of you who think that because hiring is continuing we are safe. I just had a freind from old contract go thru home study of two weeks, one week at home office and two more weeks in field. Ride on a life raft is a poor compairison. It's more like having the doctor administering sodium pentathal decrease the rate of infusion. The end result will be flatline and the room will be silent. Much like the silence we are getting from upper management. Maybe they are busy prepairing for our highly anticipated POA's. Could go something like this. Ok now that you have read the slides to the doctor forward who thnks they can do it backwards? Doctor, did I mention the co pay cards? Oh that's right not only have I mentioned them but so has your CSA, your Az direct and now even your nurses are sick of them. Maybe you have some extra time in your day to go and visit cover my meds? If not why don't you hire someone who can help navigate thru this site. Sure you will have to pay them and provide them insurance. This is not to say that the prior auth's will go away. After all doctor isn't it really about me and my Crestor.

I doubt that new reps would not be going to training just to be around for a couple of months. Maybe, but I wouldn't think so. One more year looks like a reality.
 
























Do you really expect people to believe you about this extention? If it was in fact extend either Publicis or your Regional would be having a conference call to spread this news. Here is a more likely the scenerio. Come the end of Sept. Publicis will have a regional conference call and in this they will share results and say they are pleased with our contribution at AZ. They will make a lot of points that say they appreciate us and AZ is happy. The next sentence that will be said quickly and not repeated is that they will be some restructuring that is going to take placed based on AZ needs. This will result in some cut backs in headcount and will will hear from our DBM the following day if we are in or out. Sorry to rain our your parade and yes, I would like to think we will all be extended but as one who has been here before this is reality od the situation. Good luck to us all. Either way it's really out of your hands if you are kept or not. Hope for the best but plan for the worst.
 






Nice assessment! Sounds like a possible scenario, if so, I'm effed!!! (as my territory is suckin'!) I could see this goin down as such, keep Publicis Crestor reps in larger markets, trim out the fat for a more streamlined, less vast Ocean. Or it could be all or none too! I am absolutely certain of one thing...I will continue my job search. Can someone forward me the regional numbers from last quarter?
 












Has nothing to do with territory results more like if you have alot of business in that area and AZ is short handed. Believe me or not mr/ms. spelling Nazi you heard it here first so it should come as no surprize when in Sept you hear the same message, words might be different but results the same. Territories will get larger with less people to run them. Contract sales is cost savings that's all. Only hope for more to be kept is if AZ buys Amylin and then they can have more products in portfilio and no need to have so many selling Crestor.
 






There is no word about an extension. AZ has not committed to OCEAN beyond September. They will probably wait to see what happens with all the generic atorvastatins in the marketplace and how this affects Crestor share before making a decision.

With all these generic atorvastatins round, this is all the more reason to keep OCEAN on board. Many of the reps are seasoned successful reps with strong cardiology relationships. The young AZ neophytes are just that.
 


















I'm not one of the previous posts and I'm not an arrogant PSS rep... I know I'm just as good as my direct counterparts, but I don't pretend to think I alone or any one rep is responsible for the success of Crestor in my area. It's a group effort and goes up and down. Usually the first couple years in a product's life cycle determines its success later on. Not to mention, we're generally only as good as the last year was bad... Which is why it's up and down for everyone in this industry.

As far as the cardiologists go, in many areas access is so bad NO ONE has strong relationships. I don't claim to and I know my AZ counterpart doesn't either... But the numbers are up so I really don't care! I'd say time is limited for about all of us!
 






Get your resume together this ship is sinking no way they are extending if they were we would have heard all the good news so we could be "motivated" and work even harder if they don't tell us anything which is what they are doing then no extension. Great pay check for a year!
 






AZ rep. my message to u is start working and stop going in on the same day I go. Stop doing lunches in offices that have not done lunches in yrs. I hope AZ fires your lazy booty
