You really don't think keeping us on will cost that much? If this is what they need to do to free up some cash as you say. Why would they even consider keeping any of us? From the very beginning this whole contract has made me feel like a wounded animal waiting to be put of of my misery. From our first if you want to call it a list, to the last no bonus then make more calls report. Too many reps selling or should I say carrying Crestor. CVA's that lock you out of the office. No collaboration with the AZ people, and goals that are set so high without consideration their is a generic out there, nobody will obtain them. Reports change more than the customer list these days and just try to get someone to try to explain them to you. Sure, some might be kept and I want to say this is good for you, it will help buy you some time. At the end of the day your still be a contract rep waiting and hoping for that next extention or not. POA's, Pharmacy calls, please you gest...
The above post is confusing... I think you misunderstood the post you may have been replying to... It stated the OCEAN team is "cheaper" than the direct sales force (obviously)... BUT, ending the contract as planned in September is an easy way free up some cash. They don't need us all... We are most likely done. But hey, we have to admit it's a contract and was for 1 year. We shouldn't be surprised.
When I was in Orlando with y'all back in September, I could have sworn that they made reference to this contract being one year. So, what's up with people that think its going to be renewed?
I'm pretty sure you can apply for the AZ position and interview for it.....at least that's what my manager said would eventually happen with the good reps being "lured" in by AZ......
Getting back on track with this thread...
We're starting the third quarter and have been told this contract could still be extended but it is TBD... Realistically, does anyone think it could be? Maybe 90 days at least?
If it does end on schedule in September, what's the word on new contracts? Supposedly there are some new contracts in the works and could start Q4. Any word on who they might be with?
Pearls from the POA. 1. New goals go from 4.8 to 4.7. Really? in a market that has genric atorva now you expect growth? As a side note the measurement from the 3 by 3 pits you up against growing numbers of brand Lip and Crestor in 2011 when Simva got it's label update. So you take your 2012 numbers vs. growing 2011 numbers of Crestor and try to make them grow further. Good luck on that one. That being said, the numbers are complete B.S. now that we have a new vendor or so they say, numbers are down throughout. How's that hope and change thing working for you now? 2. Did we forget to tell you that we aren't paying you on the people we told you we would a few months ago? This one must have slipped upper managements mind. 3. New slides in the deck. Now there something to get excited about. Whats that you say doctor you just saw a Crestor rep yesterday and another one today? Overlap is killing the message. 4. No new from managment as for contract extention speaks volumes. It was signed as a one year deal and that's what it will be. Some might be kept but the saying of "why kill the cow when you get the milk for free" comes to mind.
The contract will likely be extended, how long and other specifics are sketchy at this point. Ocean head count may be reduced in metro areas. The contract should run at least until December.
To come here and say that contract is going to get extened is pure B.S. You don't have a clue or any say in the matter. I believe because it has taken so long to hear anything that it will be done in Sept. If you have good news and want to keep reps happy and working you would share this news as soon as possible. Look at how this joke has gone since day one. Sure Florida was nice but list is a complete joke. Fair at the least to pay us out at to rate. Next list, of the many to follow was a little better but then when came time to pay out. It was after the quater had ended and then share what the goals were. Reports are as good as the paper you might wipe your ass with. They say one thng and then the next week another. I.T. can't figure out how to solve even the smallest problem. Adding CSA reps to the mix only overloaded the offices with people carrying Crestor. AZ had much to small of a downsizing and until recently had no real dirction to process and be sucessful. Time will tell on how this will work out. Currently when goals are set like this nobody will achieve payout bonus because it's unrealistic. Some don't know it but we have been regulated to CSA ourselves. Forget about how to do the job and make presentations that are inpactful and move market share. Meet your metrics and this means make your 9 calls a day and spend your monthly allowance. Come September the music along with the ride will all come to a stop.
