I interviewed with a DM and was turned off first minute she began speaking. Seems like a horrible DM to work with. Will take the time from my busy day to respond to your idiotic post. What don't you understand? The DM is hand picked by Leadership to lead his field Team and rank their effectivity as future revenue generators. We are rewarded handsomely when we PRODUCE effective sales Team. It is in our interest that you SUCCEED ! When we have effective reps we don't have to expend our energy on ride-alongs etc, We can strategize and plan for improvements and attend our regional meetings.

Typical district mgr w unrealistic expectations... Here they're Micromanaging clueless w nothing to contribute. Good for u for peeping this out early on. Maybe if they quit w the bs field rides reps won't get shut out the offices... My docs have specifically told me they shut out reps due to bringing obnoxious managers walking in their offices. Horrible! Abbvie needs to understand they're on doctors PRIVATE property. Wouldn't be surprised if this company gets sued for harassment folks in their place of business.

Senior DM Here: Lets all calm down.Just a reminder, in no particular order:
The DMs are above the field in management hierarchy and corporate stature. That is fact. That said the reps must obey their DM's directives or face disciplinary or PIP action. The DMs are responsible for executing corporate policy with regards to field team performance. The DMs are tasked with developing six sigma zero defect sales execution - in other words getting 100% positive feedback from customers. The DMs are also tasked with developing business plans and strategies to grow sales and EPS.

We work hard on business strategies and expense reports are handled by our admins. Our time is too valuable and must be used for developing great plans.
