"Do Not Rehire" list for lawsuit

I work inside at Yardley and can tell you from firt hand experience this site especially this thread about the Do Not Rehire list is a real hot button. I can assure this is a major topic and heads will roll about the list, who is on it and why it is out there. Great fear of lawsuits.

Yardley should look at one of their regional recruiter managers, MJ,
who often forwards the Do no rehire list to everyone in her addresss book.
I talked to a person that she used to work with and that person had received the list and would not consider me because of it.
I was highly qualified for the position, of course.

If I was you I would contact PSS HR department and file an official complaint. They will look into it not because they want to do the right thing but to help minimize lawsuits. That recruiter will be dealt with. Probably fired as a scape goat to try to once again suppress this list and say it was a rogue employee not company policy.

Ahhhhh, sure.... So whats your attorneys name? Let me guess, you wont post it because this thread is all about nothing! How do you know something was circulated with intent to hurt anyones reputation? If you dont have proof your fake attorney cant claim intent either. BS.

Hmmmm.... How 'bout a recorded phone conversation between two classy DMs.

Exactly the reason NOT to contact HR. The scope of this issue goes way beyond one recruiter. Firing one person, does not address the wide distribution of this list or other unprofessional behaviors.

Well what else is there to do? This site will deny posting of the list. The woman who posted on the original thread about this list and was sending it out got threatened ny PSS attorneys. What to you suggest to get this list out? I have it from last year and it is amazing how many people they have on it with no reason listed whatsoever listed as to why they are screened from employment. I am sure many of these are protected classes that the DM or someone in corporate just didn't like and blackballed them.

Copied from other thread...

I would start contacting people on the list. I'm not sure what Publicis can do if you've received the list if your name is on it. You are in your legal right to have a copy and also share it with others that are in the list. If you look at state statutes, one of them constitutes that if companies are circulating your name in any print form regarding your status of employment, you are suppose to get a copy. I'm not understanding how these "attorneys" can do anything. Get your attorney involved if they are threatening you. That is bullshit!

One thing about the Do Nor Rehire liat is the rate at which new names are added.
I can remember, not that long ago, when the list had 1100 names on it.
Now it seems to have 1600 names on it.
Are they adding 500 new Do Not Rehire names per year?
If there were legit. reasons to not rehire someone,
I would think it would be a rare situation.

I just had a district rep tell me about this thread. I have some questions. To the person that claims to have the original list...Are you getting updates on the names? And if not, what was the date of the last addition? Are some people placed on it while they are still employed on contract as a way to get them fired sooner? I feel like I'm on the list, but I am not on a PIP or warning letter. It has more to do with the way that I'm being treated by my boss. It's like something's wrong, but I don't know what it is.

You don't get put on the list while you are employed here. You get on the list after a contract ends or you are fired. There are several valid reasons listed for some of the people on the list. However, numerous (hundreds0 of people are on the list with no reason stated at all why they cannot be rehired which leads to speculation such as being black balled simply because a DM or recruiter didn't like you and/or they feel you are too old or a minority they don't like. The person that posted the list no longer works here so they don't get updates to the list obviously. I got the list from this person and was astonished how many people are on it and as I said many have no reason stated why PSS will not rehire. A lawyer for one of these people would LOVE to get a hold of this list.

I have also heard that if you work on a contract that lasts up to two years or more, you will be placed on it. I can't remember the reasoning behind this, but as I understand it...If you are in good standing and a contract ends within six months or a shorter period of time, you will be asked to work multiple contracts in the future. They just want to keep an influx of fresh blood circulating. Is there some type of benefit or something that kicks in after someone has worked a contract passed two years? I don't know of any.

Who out there has the most recent list?

If there really is such a list, and everyone is so afraid to expose it on this board, or doesn't know how to expose it....why not just send it off to your local newspaper with an anonymous letter - have them post it in the paper. I'm sure that will raise a stir, I'm sure a whole slew of lawyers will be all over it. I have a family member who is a lawyer, he actually suggested this....so now, who actually has the balls to move forward with this?

I have the list. Sending it to a local newspaper is stupid. They both don't care and wouldn't understand it. I would be more than happy to post it online if I could remain anonymous. A woman on the previous thread about this list posted her email and sent it to several people (that is how I got it). PSS lawyers and HR sent her threatening emails so she stopped sending. I would love to have the list made public so PSS and the jerks behind the list were exposed and fired. Why don't you send you family member's email and I will send it to them?

If it passes the motion to dismiss, the lawyer would find this list in discovery. If there is a list. Stop posting about it on here so they know what you are looking for. I worked for this company and quit. They suck. Someone should sue them, there are many reasons. I am still thinking about it for an overtime lawsuit. There is a large plaintiffs firm in FL, who works nationally, who handles all different kind of law and employment issues that is very good. Use them if you do anything.

Because too many people, including a few managers I have spoken to are aware of it. It's proof enough as managers are always trying to dispel rumors and not create them... Most of the time.

In reading this entire thread it seems that there is much to do about nothing. If there is a list then it is filled with people who should not be hired for a reason (did not work, falsified something, had a bad attitude, other things that would make you not want to have them on your team). So this thread ends up being stupid. There are many other companies to work for so go work for them and stop stirring the pot about a list that this thread has yet to show any proof of. Oh yeah, you spoke to managers who are aware of the list....name the manager then. For some reason it is easier for people to believe that there is some type of conspiracy that is fully veiled instead of looking for facts. So for those of you convinced that there is a list then look for the next reply that states that their former manager's Uncle, who knows a rep, who knows another rep, who is related to another former manager that heard about the list is the proof that a list exists. Perhaps someone is confused about the fact that every company that either downsizes or fires people indicates that someone is able to be 'rehired' or not.

Contract companies want robots. Not free thinkers, problems solvers, people with drive or desire to get better. They want someone who makes 8-10 calls a day and thinks the company knows who they are. They think if they work harder they could make more in bonus dollars. They think that if they work hard they might get rolled over of the contract will be extended. They think that selling pharmaceuticals is the best job in the world so when the contract ends they will get back in line for some more of the same old shit without think how things that happened to the or they were promissed just didn't matter. They look for people that live day to day and contract to contract with no drive to do more. Like in the book who moved my cheese they might find out that they are the mouse that got comfortable doing today what worked yesterday, only to have it all go away and wonder why. It should be a clue when they tell you the salary is blank dollars and the bonus is capped. Did you just tell me tht if I sell the max then I can make not more money reguardless? This statement should make those that think bonus is real, think again. They cut the pie of bonus the way they want and luck will determine if you get a big piece or just the crumbs.
