Covid vaccine still needed?

Let me know how it goes when you tell your docs that a few podcasts from JOE ROGAN helps shape your worldview… even better that it promotes something they should start pushing on their patients and that they really ought to give it a listen.

Sure some of it might be used in livestock and some of it is pure snake oil, but it’s good for you because Dr. Rogan and a meathead NFL quarterback said so, and far superior than what credible people at the FDA and CDC who spend their entire days studying this stuff have determined is the best.

Yes, that same Joe Rogan, the racist, bigoted comedian who once ate bull testicles on TV and smokes weed until he passes out. The same loser who hangs out with Alex Jones and allows vile people like Steven Crowder and Milo on his podcast to spread their hate. That Joe Rogan.

…or how about citing one of those NOT CREDIBLE and DISGRACED doctors who have rightfully been deplatformed for putting lives at risk with their snake oil. Malone, McCollough, etc. All clowns.

Stick to the facts, Jack: Vaccines save lives. If it wasn’t for us who did our part to end this pandemic we’d still be where we were almost three years ago.

Did anyone (except you) mention Joe Rogan? It’s almost as if you have no answers for the actual posts on here, so you decide to fight an imaginary foe and try to discredit a phantom. If you want to sound less crazy, maybe respond to something someone actually said.

And, for the record, we’ll have more Covid deaths this year than we did 3 years ago. Is that what you’re taking credit for? Congrats, I guess…..

Oh so COVID is a phantom? That’s really rich. Science denier, now a COVID denier.

Here you go again - I know you want to tell everyone what healthcare decisions they should make and what careers they should pursue, and then call THEM selfish when they don’t do what you think they should do, but that’s not really how the real world works. Only a narcissist would feel that way.

And, we get it. You believe the shot is amazing, despite the evidence that is contradictory to what you say. And, since you think it’s awesome, we should all think it’s awesome, and it would magically end the pandemic if we just believed as strongly as you do. I’m curious - how many people do you know who have neither been vaccinated nor caught COVID? In my world, it’s zero people. But, amazingly, people still catch it (again) and pass it to others. Why is that? How exactly does that happen? Why doesn’t the vaccine and/or contracting the virus not protect them? How does COVID still exist if vaccines & infections created immunity?

In your circle, you and your friends refuse to test in the first place even when you’re sick.

Again, it’s not about whether or not the vaccines stop spread, it’s about doing the right thing.

I’m grateful vaccination mandates helped weed out those who will consistently do the wrong thing.

Really don’t think anyone in pharma wants to work with those people.

Is this an attempt at an insult? Here's the thing, for 3 years you and your fellow nutjobs have been trying to offend people into agreeing with you and go along with science that isn't proven. You blew your credibility long ago and you keep doubling down. Keep talking.

It's not about whether or not the vaccines stop the spread? Um, yes it is. If it's not doing that then it's doing nothing. If it's doing nothing then how is that the right thing? The logic is to weed out people who don't want to do a pointless thing. If you ever wonder why someone calls you a sheep just go back and read your post.

Reduce risk of hospitalization, reduce risk of death, reduce risk of long COVID…that’s like saying because ozempic doesn’t cure diabetes, it’s not worth taking.

When scientists thought they completely stopped the spread, the right thing to do would've been to get the shots to protect our friends, loved ones, coworkers, and patients.

Now that we know that they reduced viral shedding, make you sick for a shorter amount of time, you're not as sick and won't be headed to the hospital, and are very unlikely to die, the right thing to do by your employer and family would be to get the shots for those reasons.

People who refuse the shots are flat out selfish and careless

Nope. You don’t get to claim in one post that the benefits of taking the shot are for the greater good of society (false because we know it doesn’t stop the spread), and then use the benefit to an individual as a reason to take the shot. Face it, this is a therapy that only (possibly) helps the person taking it. Your posts contradict each other. You are not selfish if you don’t take it because it only benefits you. Just like your ozempic example. If you take ozempic it doesn’t cure your mom’s diabetes. Science.

This is why clinical trials are important. You don’t have all that “back when scientists thought” talk. You should know this. You don’t sell your product to doctors based on a concept. But for this it’s fine. And try again on selfish. You just posted this only helps individuals.

The thing you can’t seem to get through your thick skull is that it does also reduce transmission, just not by as much as it did with prior variants…because the new variants are more transmissible to begin with. So yes, society does benefit from you getting the vaccine. In addition, you’re not a burden to taxpayers or the healthcare system by being hospitalized, dying, living with lifelong complications, so there are societal benefits to you doing the right thing beyond transmission.

And fwiw, I’m not the same person who said that, so I’m not contradicting anything. Do you really believe there’s just one person at this company who thinks you’re a selfish moron?

Selfish and careless? Not really. That’s just your version of events. That’s like me saying that if you do get the shot it’s only because you’re frightened and compliant. You think the benefits outweigh the risks. Not everyone feels that way. That just makes us different, not right or wrong. Your way isn’t the only way - selfish people are the only ones that believe that. It’s not selfish or careless to make a healthcare decision that one feels is in their own best interests.

If you believe that we have some sort of collective responsibility to ensure we aren’t a burden to the system, then why are you only going after Covid shots? I mean, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer are much more expensive to the taxpayer than Covid. Why aren’t you advocating for mandatory meal rationing and mandatory exercise sessions or making cigarettes illegal? See, you don’t even believe what you say. Yo just conveniently say you believe it when it suits you in a particular instance.

An absurd comparison. You shouldn't be in healthcare.

How is this comparison any different than yours? A burden is a burden, regardless of the source. You are running out of rebuttals. Go watch CNN so you can memorize more tin hat theory's to regurgitate.

Because diabetes & lung disease are highly associated w/ poverty, education and access to healthy food. Again, stay out of health care. You lack the requisite empathy.
