Bard Access Interview...good move?

What should I learn from IV -therapy? That there are a bunch of nurses that talk about IV therapy? some like Bard and some don't. Does not tell me much about this job.

OMG..Some nurses complain and bitch on a website. Look at every company on there, there are positive and negative reviews. the good outweighs the bad at BAS, but there is plenty of things that need to be changed/improved.

IV Therapy is cafepharma for nurses. Some of the info is true, some of it not. just like on here. The only thing that holds any weight( other than the nurses:) is when there are product issues and they seek answers.

On a side note. our products are getting a bit " blue light special". we have some good stuff but nothing game changing and earth shaking

The ass-clown managers here consistently spew out garbage about all the money to be made here, you need to have a positive attitude, and focus on closing business, etc are just trying to get in your head. That is what they are trained to do!

Reality is another thing. Trust me, BAS sucks and will eliminate years from your life that you will never get back. The stress, micromanaging environment, and no work-life balance will eventually ruin you, which is no big deal for BAS because they will replace you with another.

You can make just as much, if not more, doing pretty much anything else. When you factor in your nights, weekends, and travel you aren't making much more than minimum wager on an hourly basis. CR Bard is pouring in billions, and you are their donkey. Think about it, your territory probably pulls in 6 million, and BAS lets you have 1-2% of that.

Don't let BAS, DB, and your DB's bitch manager get the best of you. Life's too short and it's just not worth it.

It's s shame, this division used to be a premier job. Now it's the ADP/Xerox of medical device sales. Get your 2-3 years and get out to something better.

If these posts were really from BAS employees then you would have to be the biggest assholes on the face of the earth for staying at a place you are so miserable being at. It is obvious that you may have worked for BAS in the past and don't any longer so save it and stop living in the past. It's time to move on.

Prospective new Bard employees check this site to get an idea on the culture of BAS. What's wrong with letting them know they may be making a HUGE 2-3 year mistake? I wish somebody would've warned me! It's not a matter of moving on, it's a matter of hopefully saving someone's soul.

Now get back to being DB's bitch, and get back to micromanaging your minimum wage reps.

For the record, I am still here. But I will be out as soon as I can.

Good luck finding a job without a top 30 finish ever. I'm sure the only reason you are leaving is because you are overwork and underpaid. I guarantee you are worthless and will end up a job hopper for your career.

Plenty of reps will be gone this year. If this is " sill the place to be" , why have we lost a lot of our top reps? Their are plenty of TMs that leave that do not finish in your "top 30!" And get way better jobs than this. This is a stepping stone into medical. We use his as a platform just like we did at Paychex, xerox, etc.... Maybe if you truly valued your reps, they would stay. But you continue to treat them like shit with the mentality of what have you done for me TODAY?

The best thing about Bard is having it on your résumé. They know if you can put up with this crap for a few years, you are a mental rockstar!

Tops reps? Who the hell are you talking about? One guy got fired and the other guy made the worst financial decision by walking away from $350k+ this year. You are clueless and don't understand what it takes to be successful

This proves the point of the above post about how bard sees their reps. Just keep holding on to the glory days of when you didn't need to sell. All you had to do was show up and deliver cupcakes! You wouldn't hack it in the sales cycle today. your attitude would have you banned from every major system in your territory. And they say being good at smokin' pole doesn't get you anywhere!! Look what it did for this guy!

Your arrogance is worth a punch in the mouth!

HAHAHAHA! CLASSIC BARD! " WALKED AWAY FROM $350K" IF that is true, which I doubt he is an idiot!

It also shows how well he liked working here! Must haved loved it!

Bard Access is a great career move as long as you:

1) can accept a $46k base salary. (really, $46k in 2013? such a joke)
2) accept 2 weeks vacation, which you are frowned upon even taking. (first year entry level jobs for college grads get 3 weeks) The only "vacations" you get to experience are with the other Bard droids at meetings or Award trips where you get to witness the epitome of brown-nosing and adultery
3) You can give up any hobbies you may enjoy.
4) You give up any and all time you would like to spend with your family.
5) you enjoy daily phone calls from your manager at 7:01 am to make sure you are at a hospital, not getting out of bed. Phone calls on sunday nights and saturday mornings as well.
6) You can give up your weekends to work on redundant spreadsheets documenting your time in the field.
7) you enjoy being the go-to person for all of the products failures and inefficiencies. (my sherlock is broken again)

forgetting anything?

6) LIE, it sounds like you are on a performance plan.
7) This is your job and in fact any job woudl require to be the go to person. As the sales person it is your job to handle these issues.

Sounds Like he works in the North East! lol, for the biggest meatheaded toolbox in all of medical sales and he kinda looks like Biff from Back to the Future.... Beat it McFly!

no life, all bard and expects all of his reps to be the same way. Often uses the line " you work at bard, there are plenty of reps who want your job!"
