why does this company even have its own board?


egs is done. no reimbursement, no cpt code, no direction, no sales, no leadership, no one making money, no communincation from mk or cm, no one staying in their territory longer than 8 months, etc. idiots like ds still employed (really what does this guy do?). this place is an utter joke. every person here has their resume on the street. egs, get serious; everyone is looking for a new job. i could make more money working at red robin or a car wash.

We have 2 headquarters because TT didn't fell like going to Seattle any longer. Remember, TT thought there were 2 classes of employees: him and the everybody else at EGS. He always expected special treatment for himself like iphones and ibooks. He wanted swish offices. RWC is NOT appropriate digs for a start-up But TT wanted to live well and it made him feel successful to have fancy offices.
Just another example of TT doing what was best for him, not necessarily for EGS.

Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Cisco all have 1 headquarters. Endogastric Solutions has 2 headqurters (Redwood City, CA and Redmond, WA). That makes complete sense. We are smarter than Steve Jobs and Bill Gates combined. NOT. Why in the world do we let this continue? WTF? A freshman studying fincance at BYU would know to close one of these offices. What are we waiting for? Honestly, why do we have 2 offices?

Hey! DS does more in one day in the office than any of of us do in a lifetime! For example, he berates and belittles his employees, he tells everyone and anyone who'll listen how smart and talented he is, he doesn't return a single phone call, he's late for every meeting provided he bothers to show up, he devises marketing schemes like crural closure to sell more devices that push the legal envelope....Phew! I'm exhausted just thinking about all the ways he adds value every day.

Dude, what don't you understand? Two headquarters didn't have anything to do with corporate need nor did it make any financial sense. Thierry didn't want to travel to Seattle anymore. So just set up offices in Redwood City near his house. Then he proceeded to rent offices that were too big and extra plush. After all, Thierry was so important that only the best was good enough for his personal needs. RWC has floor to ceiling windows in every office looking toward the bay. To do their jobs, the RWC honchos then had to travel to Redmond every week and stay in a $300 a night hotel on Lake Washington. TT only ate at Daniel's Broiler.
EGS was only important to Thierry in ways that it could prove to himself and the world how important he was, or in ways that it facilitated his tawdry liaisons with employees.
 



Time to make CafeP relevant. There has got to be someone at EGS who wants to support DS and the marketing plan he devised and outline all his accomplishments. If no one can do this, then I must surmise that all the posts about DS's incompetence, arrogance and inability to complete any task are all true.

Time to make your voice heard. Otherwise, the evidence of DS's worthlessness to EGS is here for all to see.

Good luck defending DS. Remember the "Top 50" project where DS was going to devine why surgeons never averaged more than one case per month? That was TT's attempt to get DS to actually understand our customers' behavior. Sort of Marketing 101, right? Produced exactly zip.

DS never finished any projects that TT wanted him to. Never. Even TT complained about it. So why did TT keep DS? Do you think it because he was hiring hot admins & others so that TT would be fully staffed???

Mike, dude, it's been one month since we had a conference call with you where you promised as the new CEO to communicate more with us as a company. In return, you asked for teamwork and loyalty from us. We've kept up our part of the bargain. Now we're expecting that you will communicate some major organizational changes including marketing to right size this sinking ship.

When can we expect such a communications from you, chief?

The 3 year old plan devised by DS doesn't work. It's had 3 years to make a go of it and it sucks. Get rid of both DS and the old marketing plan and replace it with a strategy that works.
