I work pretty close with Alec, have not heard a word. I do know, that he has wanted out for a long time. The company has changed drastically in the past year or so. It's certainly not his show anymore. That I can confirm to be true. He has just been collecting a paycheck for the Last year. I have witnessed Insys turn A.B into a yes man. Never thought I'd see it. I know he'd be happier if they would agree to allow him to part ways with whatever dignity they left him with.
Ok Alec. Lol. Company changed a lot in the last year because the OIG investigation into alleged illegal marketing, former employees hired by Alec blowing whistles, off label sales and kickbacks to docs which were all directed by guess who?

as I know Alec reads these posts, just want to say thank you for having been a forthright and uncompromising person while you ran this company. while we never felt good about selling this product knowing how market share had to be gained, you did a masterful job at helping the sales team manage the insanity. your job was to produce for the company, and that you did, You kept everyone safe, motivated, and maintained a dialogue which we could respect while doing it...and no one can ask for more.
if we wanted to be doing something good for humanity, we wouldn't be in this company, or probably in this business. people should stop putting their moral qualms on others.. we sell legal heroine to people who don't need it... Alec was charged with running a quasi-criminal organization, and he delivered. He didn't create the rules, he just optimized the process.
I would follow him to his next venture in a heartbeat. If those here aren't hypocrites, you'll agree with my praise of this man. Those of you who want to be sanctimonious, you only make yourself cringe.

This is the best post on all of cafepharma. Honest and someone saying it how it is unlike the cowards who downplay what they were doing. Alec just did his job. Which was to increase shareholder value. The idiots like this Oliver guy and Michelle girl can stop with the act. The company sold liquid heroine. You all cared about increasing your wallets. I know Alec on both a personal and professional level and he is a class act! He is a husband a father a brother a son and the most loyal man you will ever meet. He works his ass off and takes pride in every single thing he does. He is a man of great integrity and strong will. I am grateful to know this man! You all should at least not be anonymous when talking badly about someone on the internet and about their livelihood.

Please... Without alec, Oliver is still a sales rep jumping from one company to the next getting rejected over and over again for manager jobs. As accurate as it gets! And no they won't just move on to another company with insys management on their résumé. Quite frankly these clowns are in for a rude awakening when they go out into the real world and interview and see that companies don't see them even worthy to be a rep at most companies let alone management. Oliver, Michelle, Karen, and quite frankly 90 pct of our management team. Just ask anyone who babich really is.... Only one who performed and showed he was capable of his job title was Alec and Matt. Unfortunately they chose to let greed and money dictate the decisions they made. But at least they were competent in their sales roles. Michelle couldn't be dumber than a door nail same for badly and the crooked stuff they do will all be revealed soon
