Egos may have been slashed but their paychecks weren't. Katie and Kenny are probably taking a deep breath and glad they are done with the clown show. Being an RBM with VP pay isn't so bad.

some of the JAKS were horrible to those of us in the field. They didn’t have a clue how to take care of their people and were only good at kissing the ass above them. It was a game to them where they were only here to promote themselves. They have a very slim chance at the roles that will be available.

let’s be honest. Some of the JAKS were not good leaders at all. They did nothing other than promote themselves. They caused turmoil on their teams and spent a lot of their time wreaking havoc. The JAKs were good at kissing ass but that is how they landed their gig in the first place. Look at the turnover on some of the teams. Some of us are quite relieved we will not be reporting to them anymore. We have had so many new team members it’s silly. Those JAKs having to compete for a role is poetic justice. There will be much more qualified candidates than those JAKs
 




Our team was lucky and had a really good RBM. It is a shame what happened to the good one's. Really hope the good ones land a place in the DSO model because they do deserve to continue to be here. Not sure they will want to.

Is anyone surprised? This is how ZS works. It’s where is business, what is our current ROI per rep we are looking to get and where do have people located based on territory cuts. There is no rhyme or reason for it. Very very few decisions made by people of who stays and who goes.
If anyone at this point in the pharma game thinks others wise or is not aware they are delusional.
There is always good people
Let go and not so good people that get to keep their jobs.
Unfortunately in this case , it might be the biggest leadership cut I’ve ever seen. Bad news is our CEO has already stated this is step 1 in cuts and more will be had probably later this year. First step
Was middle management. Next will be rep cuts. Hope you are a rep that was gifted major accounts because they will be the ones keeping jobs later this year.

You may be right, but there is going to be a mass exodus so future cuts may be less impactful. There are so many really talented people in WHC, who are generally complacent with the entire process of looking elsewhere. They stay and take the path of least resistance and for many it's all they've known for 15-20+ years. This change however will likely be the motivating factor for many of them to not only look elsewhere but realize there are much better opportunities out there. Bayer has been a great place to work, that place has changed dramatically, and many will look for the next great place. They will find it.

This is spot on. Left less than a year ago and grass is just as green or greener. The best part is far less back stabbers. Very few managers or directors at Bayer had loyalty to anyone but themselves. They talked a lot but when it came time to act, they will plunge the knife in your back without hesitation. I feel so bad for a lot of really good managers that were loyal and got betrayed. Glad I am gone and best of luck to many good people out looking now.

This is so accurate . My opinion is the hogs keep getting fatter and they are slaughtering the pigs. So basically Bayer is saving their senior leaders while they remove the lower rung. In theory they think it will work but those leaders have been here so long, are the highest paid and yet we have had no real change so this will be more of the same for the future of our company. Even if I am here not, I don’t trust anyone and have no loyalty to our disgusting leadership. Shame on all those leaders who stole roles from their reports only to save themselves. They should be ashamed of themselves and disgusted with an organization that would allow it to happen. No future here and not confident in this organizations decision making skills anymore.

My org has not been affected in this round. I am so sorry to hear about colleagues losing jobs right before the holidays.. So many toxic people in the leadership positions. Judging by their lack of worry, I can tell they are keeping their jobs
