I have been in the field for months about 70% of the time. This allowed interaction with providers that would see me/lunches where allowed and then gave me VALUABLE and much needed time for planning/communicating/business reviews with offices/handling reporting AE's, product quality complaints/ entering calls/expense reports/analyzing data(which is never correct)/Veeva emails/ responding to TONS of emails/fixing missing providers in Veeva which only go missing again/taking learning modules/entering PMP's/setting up trainings/MAKING THINGS HAPPEN! I will play the game and "be in the field" 100% of the time but John/Katie/Kenny you act like this is a pill we are selling. I will not be working until 8PM every night to stay caught up and be away from my family. These territories are huge and you say "I don't want you driving 3 hours to drop off brochures" out of one side of your mouth then saying "DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE" out of the other side. I agree too many reps were using covid as an excuse these past few months but you need to handle those on a per-rep basis. Having the managers in the field 4 days a week??? Are you kidding me? He only slows me down. It's time to gather a focus group of reps for a call that will be honest with you. Pick the ones that won't kiss up but will tell you what they really need to make things happen. This isn't 2010 pharma anymore. Times have changed with a buy and bill product. The landscape of medical clinics/systems have changed. Access has changed. We can't fight off the competitor with a 18% contract anymore even with what we offer. We need to change with the times.
