Straumann...good or bad to work for?

"Seem" is the operative word. There isn't a bigger misrepresentation on this board other than the "success" ID is supposedly having. They are a small band of retreads trying to scratch out a GP here or there and will never have headway with respected surgeons who would be embarrased to use such a product line.

why would they be embarrassed to use ID? They invented the tapered screw vent that zimmer sells and also licensed their internal engaging connection to straumann in 2000. Straumann is last to come to market with bone level, or tapered, or a friction fit carrier. It was all copied from ID. Straumann has no innovation or research. It's all smoke and mirrors. Nobel tri-lobes are fracturing at the head. Zimmer is going under. ID is fine and growing worldwide. This isn't the old wild west anymore. Some surgeons are finally getting it. The only reason to use nobel, straumann or zimmer, is to simply say "i use an expensive implant" it doesn't actually mean shit. They are just too scared to break the rules. But maybe they should...if they want to stay in business.

What exactly do you mean by "scared to break the rules?"

Very scientific, backed up with facts. Nice.

High level of discourse, this gang.

Time to do a little more research moron. Implant direct had nothing to do with SV or TSV,that was Niz. In addition, ID wasn't around in 2000, the patten share with Straumann, that was Sultzer/Centerpulse. Do you ever research the things you say or just vommit up the things your manager tells you. Just for the record Straumann has more white paper than anyone else on the market. Smoke and mirrors You say. Funny hearing that from you who sells clones of everyone?? ID even uses white paper from the companies it clones on your website. ID went as far to copy clear choice?? Now that's innovation for sure but we would expect this ignorance from someone who followed his post with "I like to swallow." You might do well in used car sales but I doubt it.

I'm thinking of swapping out my Zimmer implant inventory and going with either Straumann or Astra. I received pricing proposals from both companies and although strauamann and Astra are more expensive than Zimmer , the price difference between the two is not really that different. I'm curious, why are these two so much more expensive?
Both reps claim that they have more clinical data and one said their materials cost more.
I'm not sure who to believe.

"I'm not sure who to believe."

Try consulting the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus. The tooth fairy got fired because they missed their sales quota. He now sells used cars.

You sound stupid, why not buy both systems and tell your referral base you have a competitive advantage because you have two systems available for them ?

Sound Good ? Give me your credit card number and I'll take it from there.

Guessing they didn't cover subject verb agreement and simple math on your GED quiz? Awesome closing technique though...for a telemarketer.

Clinical data is not

first off....Niznick IS Implant Direct...and Centerpulse and Paragon. And its a fact that Paragon was sold to Sulzer and acquired by Zimmer...so yes....Implant Direct invented the Zimmer implant that is sold today...thank you.

And Straumann DID have to license their internal engaging connection from Niznick's patent...thank you.

And again....who copied who? we have always sold bone level, tapered implants with friction fit carriers etc....we invented the internal engaging hex that half the implants use. Sorry.

You forgot Dentsply smart guy..Look at your timeline again. Youre an idiot. By your logic, we are all Branemark?? So did Branemark invent ID? You MF'ers need to quit living in the past and worry more about why you cant take over the implant market with your cheap clones of everyone. "And Straumann DID have to license their internal engaging connection from Niznick's patent...thank you." which he sold with the company. If your daddy is so smart, why cant he come up with anything new and ground breaking??

I didn't forget it...i just didn't mention it.

The SwishPlus, like the Straumann implant, has an internal octagon, originally licensed to Straumann in 2000 under Niznick’s #4,960,381 internal connection patent.

We have plenty of innovation, like I said. We lead in many areas. WE have been doing bone level tapered implants for a long time, and Straumann has just decided that is the way to go. Straumann also copied our friction fit carrier.

There is nothing innovative about Straumann. Our SBM surface has been used for over 20 years and works just as well, if not better than Straumann's acid etched SLA etc..

IF you want to overpay for implants go with Straumann, nobel, and Zimmer. If you want a quality implant that works and has more options (yes...we have more sizes and lengths, prosthetics etc) than go with Implant Direct. Save some money for retirement.

"Save some money for retirement."

Save the ads and speeches for the territory rook, and save your breath for someone who cares, which certainly isn't anyone reading here.

Your shit is a commodity, just like you are.

Try not to embarrss yourself anymore than you have already. Really, give it a break, rook.

Nice post but who in the hell are you talking you? Try responding directly to the post you are referring to. Not sure which post you are so mad at
Very confusing
