Straumann...good or bad to work for?

Great company, but like anything else, it depends on the territory history. Always ask how many reps have come through within the last 10 years. Of the reps, have any consistently exceeded quoata? If not, ask for the sales history for each of the past 5 years and calculate the commission income and then add base. Good Straumman reps that have a strong territory should be making in the low six figures. I got a buddy who has seen at least 4 reps come through his area without a prayer.

The regional managers are all idiots. The TMs are better adjusted to the industry. The managers are over paid and actually hurt relationship with the doctors.

There is an advertised Surgical opening for Nor California. What is the RM Kurt Blythe(sp?) like to work for ? Competent or not ? Realistically can one survive for more than a couple-of-years in their territory management system? I am an experienced and known (hopefully, respected - lol) impl rep int. in coming back to field sales after some time off/away.

According to the surgical community I have spoken with, the co. and local field representation has done well the last couple years out-serving and out-performing the other 'Bigs" with conversions and product offerings.

Money, benefits, yada yada, I get all that line of thinking, I am more interested in longevity with a growing, intelligent, realistic group of motivated people. Could S-mann be that?

Bash away.

Happy, Healthy Holidays to All ! Thanks.

Actually here the facts about Regeneration at Straumann:
Regeneration grew with a solid double digit number and the division has been repositioned and reports now directly into the CEO at the headquarter.
The National Sales Manager has been promoted to a global role.

The regen division is on its way out. We, the surgical TMs, now have responsibility for the bone graft product. The national sales manager could not get the job done so she was faced with either being put on a PIP or head back overseas. She leaves in the spring.

Tipical comment of unsuccessful and unhappy TMs.....

double digit this year!
The division will be reporting directly into the CEO at the headquarter, which empowers it.
National Sales Manager has been promoted to a global role.
