SFM

This company is barely bearable because of my direct manager. If that buffer goes away and this Kentucky hillbilly starts messing with things it’s bye bye time. Maybe she can put together a long winded email with unlimited primary care pharma 101 acronyms explaining why 3/4 of the salesforce is checked out even more since she’s joined.
Best post yet on her!

It's deeply concerning that executive management is prioritizing identifying the authors of these posts over addressing the serious issues raised. Instead of acknowledging the feedback or seeking improvements, they're choosing to silence employees. This narcissistic behavior demonstrates a complete disregard for employee concerns.

SFM's recent actions are another glaring example of this toxic culture. How can she justify her treatment of MP after positioning herself as a champion of coaching and development? It's clear she's more focused on building her own team than supporting existing talent. It's likely we won't hear from SFM in regard to MP, mirroring the company's pattern of avoiding transparency. Given the company's history of delayed communication, I wouldn't be surprised if I discovered I was fired retroactively.

So by immaculate conception -MP’s position has already been filled. Another Abbvie employee who I’m sure you all know. JV will be quietly announced this week. They were interviewing him, making an offer way before MP was dismissed for being ethical, professional and competent. Qualities that don’t fall into the Axsome work place. How else does a high executive position get filled in one week?
Attention SAMS!!! If they are doing this to an executive then they are doing it to you. Document everything, record calls, and don’t sign the severance package. Most importantly-start reaching out to representatives in your area. Guarantee they are already interviewing someone for your job.

Wake up people! All of this was the case before SFM! This company has been slaughtering off great reps and others since the acquisition of Sunosi. A very quiet killing within that salesforce. Then 11 months into a launch, 1 year ago this month, they slaughtered reps again. Ironically before equity awards vest and anniversary awards are to be granted. Some people knew too much, others pushed back on things or stood up for their reps and they were then slaughtered too. Now they moved up from the Salesforce to Leadership. Clearly no one is safe. This place is TOXIC to the core. Now you know the devils you're dealing with and working under. Scum

Axsome's repeated hiring of former Abbvie employees into senior roles without conducting an internal or external search is a serious legal risk, especially given New York's strict employment laws. This practice could expose the company to potential lawsuits. MP should strongly consider seeking legal counsel as this is a clear HR violation.

HR has become a mere extension of senior leadership, used to justify arbitrary decisions. This misuse of HR further increases Axsome's legal vulnerability. MG should be wary of relying on HM's advice; the situation is far from resolved. This company is on a dangerous path and appears headed for a significant downfall.

To clarify, Axsome has a history of legal issues, with SG successfully suing the company for wrongful termination. This precedent should serve as a clear warning for MG and HM about the potential legal risks they're creating. MP also has grounds for a lawsuit given the circumstances of his departure.

The recruitment of JV during MP's tenure was highly unethical. When JV was moved to the federal side at Abbvie it was celebrated by his TN team, highlighting a toxic work environment he created. His management style, characterized by a forced turnover quota under the direction of SFM, is well-documented. Employees in the Northeast should reach out to JV's former TN reps for firsthand accounts of his behavior. HM should conduct a thorough background check on JV before officially bringing him on board to avoid further legal complications.

The “OVER THE TOP” Southern Bell voice is super annoying and unprofessional. Best yet is telling two sales forces to focus on a TOTAL OFFICE CALL!
SFM that was in pharma 101.
You guys can play Forest Labs bingo….total office call was revolutionary back in 2006. Here’s a few more catchphrases to be on the lookout for.

-Holding your doctors, “accountable”
-you should “expect more” from your speakers
-I can’t want to win more than you
-80% signature calls….assuming you have samples
-you’re not doing enough activity
-your territory is not unique
-managed care doesn’t matter…if a doctor wants a drug bad enough, they can get it

Not to mention the systemic gaslighting to get you to believe that if you’re not in the top25%, you’re a failure as a human being and disappointment to your family

Every pharma company these days. Sales force is innovating on their own, according to their individual markets, yet corporate brain dead “leaders” keep saying the same stupid things, thinking they’re smarter than everybody.

Leadership, or whatever you call yourself these days, stop getting in the way of the sales force with this doodoo. You are not even the least bit “edgy” or “innovative”

What did SG sue for and how do you know she won? What was she even fired for?

Very well put. Every rep I heard from about this expressed the same thoughts. People are saying they haven’t slept in days over what was done to MP. You are 100% right, his removal definitely has the attention of every rep and not in a good way. It is utter disgraceful, and has many top reps questioning if this culture they want. The reality is performers are now open to new job opportunities since this woman joined. We are talking the good reps who had no interest seeking new opportunities previously are now discussing a desire to be open to new opportunities.

I’m beginning to wonder if that is actually what they want.

On another note, SFM made people feel a bit uncomfortable with the pyramid visual in her most recent email outlining exactly who made exactly what dollar figure in bonus. Suddenly, we’re hearing a lot less about our devotion to our customers and helping their patients, and a real lot more about how many dollars are going into each of our bank accounts. That approach lacked polish, and quite frankly, it lacked intelligence. It was perceived by many as tasteless.
That was NOT ok! Might as well list everyone's salary and credit score while your at it!
It's not motivating at all! Public humiliation and micro management will never produce good results. SFM is bad for the company.

Tasteless and so old school pharma to show bonus paid out. She is stuck in the Purdue Pharma concept of bonus money and your numbers are all that matter. As if all territories are created equal is laughable. Screw the patients! Screw how you interact with your doctors, it’s all about the money baby! Such a dinosaur way to run a company. She will run a lot of good people off
SHE is why people hate pharma with her hillbilly, stripper pole mentality!
