Does management training now include how to respond to negative posts on these boards? That is a great use of time sense you don't do much of anything else!

I may not be happy with the company, but I like my job and look at this as the best opportunity of my career. I may not be here for a long time, but this will make me better at what I do in the future and I am thankful for that.

Only positive thing is the paycheck and benefits in this economy. Corporate/management knows it and takes full advantage. They believe they can keep cutting the salaries, screw with comp, treat people poorly and they'll put up with it because the job market is so tight right now. What they don't seem to realize is it bites them in the ass in production as people are so demotivated and they can't recruit really top people anymore.

Salient has proven to be a stable company in difficult times. Even without going public, funding has remained in tact and sales have grown year after year. Senior management has invested in facilities ensuring continued future growth. For as many sour posts there are on this board, I don't see anyone saying "no" to the pay check. If we all spent more of our time being productive in the field, then maybe comp plans would not need to be adjusted. Just a thought.

You are right. At least now we can see if our full of sh-- CEO has the balls or ability to do something. I can still hear his speach for the last three years. We will have one new product a quarter. We are going to purchase companies and add them to our bag. Whatever, I just mind my own business and sell the product. May leave pretty soon if my inteviews keep going well. I want to make sure I find the perfect fit for my next move. JS as AVP give me a break. No substance. I knew when he showed up (we know how he made it) the company was doomed. Kiss those millions good bye!!!!
