Re: Your Advice Please

Oh I get it, other companies don't have drama or stress? Do tell? Where is this wonderful company that doesn't have these traits? Work hard, shut up, make money, and do your job.

And get fired just like the Area Managers did. MORON. There are only two people that are dumb enough to make that statement "Work hard, shut up, make money, and do your job" and they BOTH work in Management at PPS. Now get back to work Jason!!

Potential sales rep: run! LOL..seriously, though, working at this place will probably prove to be no more than a costly and time-consuming detour. Unless you are shady and totally without ethics of any kind you will either quit because you can't stand it any more, or will get fired because they can't stand you any more. Either way, it's a waste of your time and energy. On the other hand if you are dishonest, have no professional or moral ethics or standards, and are sneaky, ruthless and back-stabbing you may have found a home!

This is the most truthful statement on this entire board!

Just stumbled onto this board and read this entire thread. Wow, there are some angry people out there. The thing is, this is exactly what is wrong with businesses today. This sense of entitlement from employees. I agree with the poster above, that if you shut up work hard and do your job, then you will succeed. I thought this was going to be a good forum for this industry but, instead, all I see are a bunch of whiners who feel entitled to things they don't deserve. Here is a tip for you, work hard and you can accomplish anything and stop blaming your problems on other people. This is the last you'll see of me because there is no useful information on this forum.

Thanks.

Here, here. I wholeheartedly agree with the last post. Sounds like all the negative posts are from people who would take advantage of Welfare programs, etc... I worked for PPSC for over 5 years and have no complaints. Work hard and be ethical.

PPS management is monitoring these boards. Apparently we've struck a nerve. I'm sure we'll all go back to our jos like good little children now and stop complaining! Thanks for changing our outlook on life with your words of wisdom!!!

AMEN BROTHER and SISTERS! Not just the people who got fired from this company, but we as a nation have become so entitled, that we forget what got us this here. What happened to "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country!" (for you young people out there, that is from JFK) Same thing applies to work people. You are not entitled to easy work, easy pay, easy hours, easy living....work for it, be ethical, and shut the hell up! Glad all of you are gone that post on this site. Freaking whiners. And no, I'm not in management, not Jason, not Kevin, just someone who has seen great things happen in this company when the bad apples are weeded out. Good luck in your other company that doesn't have non-ethical people, no whining, and no stress...RIGHT! Come back to reality.

Well your statement is the most untruthful statement on this whole board. So what does that make the former statement....untrue in my book.

Hmmmmm, By looking at the last 4-5 Post, it Looks like the PPS management has learned how to turn on the computer and find the PPS board. Good Job guys. I knew that Stanford education would pay off.

Another right wing, red neck using a good mans words to make yourself look and feel good and to run others down who have been screwed and are down on thier luck. That's nice , "Pull youself up by your bootstraps", when you don't even have any boots left! We've all had enough of your bullshitt the last eight years. Stop using Kennedy's words to further you're right wing party bullshitt. No How, No Way, NO McCAIN!!!!!!!! Unless you've enjoyed these last eight years.

Another dramatic turn in this thread.....ok SOCIALIST PIG. No boots left since you sunk so far deep in the dung you've been spewing out of your mouth.

Will not stop using Kennedy's words...free country remember. Oh that's right you want it to be Socialist with OBAMA! See it's already starting....

Thanks PPS management. It's not bad enough you've screwed us all and ruined our lives , but now you want to rub salt in the wounds and call us all Pigs. And your politics and mean spiritedness has done just great for all of us in this country hurting and looking for work. I could think of a VERY long list of names to call you, but I'll not lower myself to your level. You're not a Socialist when you care about and have compassion for people. But a cold hearted, mean spirited man like you could never, ever possibly understand that. You've already ruined our lives, now please be decent enough to leave us alone.

Sorry.. FYI EVERYBODY!! It is spelled defInitely.. not definAtely.. Thank you for pointing that out PPS Employee.
So here are the prices as I remember them...
AirSep Concentrator: $480.00
EasyPulse Regulator: $125.00
E Regulator: free (we had 100 of them laying around)
O2 tank: $20.

So let's see... They bill Medicare $550.00.. Medicare pays $163.00, Secondary Ins pays $41.14 = $204.14 for Concentrator
So let's see... They bill Medicare $180.00.. Medicare pays $84.00, Secondary Ins pays $19.00 = $103.00 for EasyPulse
So let's see... They bill Medicare $140.00 Medicare pays $39.00, Secondary Ins pays $12.00 = $51.00 for E Regulator

SO a normal "Continuous" (24 hr) brings in approx. $358.14 which means.. if the patient bills for 2 months.. PPS breaks even on the equipment that they "bought" Now keep in mind... not every new setup gets NEW equipment. So I would say approx. 85% of my setups were with equipment that PPS has already turned a profit on... so if you want to sit there and say that $100.00 a month for a Hardship waiver is unacceptable.. then you are just as much a jerkoff as the manager in your area.

Truth be told... the only reason that $100.00 a month was unacceptable, was bc that would effect the "Super Secret" Quarterly bonus that the managers get for their Profit Margin. Thats why Hardship waivers are shunned upon, thats why your ReqLogic orders are torn to shreds are your supplies are kept to a bare minimum...

And yet.. PPS New Jersey.. continues to tell people that they are your "Neighbor Oxygen Company" (as long as you have Medicare) that last part is in real fine print

This is just about 100 % correct, I agree with every single word this person just said about PPS Management.

You really don't have to keep trying to prove your point. IF all the information you previously provided is ACCURATE, you were definitley fired for being pregnant. If you filed for FMLA anywhere in this process and know a GOOD attorney , $500 bucks would probably get you a very nice lawsuit started for violating the FMLA laws and discrimination based on gender and possibly American with Disabilities Act. They would definitley settle for 10 grand and lawyers fees just to make this go away. Might as well get something out of it.

Re: Your Advice Please

Wow, I am new to this site, but PPS is currently recruiting me. I was excited about this opportunity until a friend told me to check them out on this site. I am amazed at the overwhelming negative responses in regards to this company. I'm guessing I should head for the hills. Any advice/responses would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Here's my advice: If you are a driven sales person, you will make 6 figures by end of year one to two. Only takes 25 O2 set ups per month. My husband is a PCC and LOVES PPS! Tenure is over 4 years. Though he has seen other PCCs come and go, it's always because they are not performing, or not working...that's probably who's on this site. Don't take my word for it, compare the salary/commission/bonus plans of the entire industry (Apria, Lincare to start) and figure it out for yourself. As far as Culture, you are on the "disgruntled" employee site. Try asking the recruiter for a ridealong with hiring center and see for yourself. Ask employees how they like working there.

:)

So, by your logic, the only operating costs are the equipment. I see you are keen business person. No wonder you are so successful in all your business ventures. Bottom line is that EVERY business is in business to make money. And you don't do that by giving equipment away from free.

I was just about to write this and you took my thoughts!! Great job. That person is an idiot. They probably should be in our Government, since that is all they think we do too. There is a lot more this company does than just give out equipment. YES people, we are a FOR PROFIT company, not a company that gives away equipment for all to use for free. I've seen this company make great sacrifices to go that extra mile to help patients by either giving them free eqipment, helping out in Hurricane Ike, the fires in SoCal, etc....I could go on and on. For those of you on here to get both sides of the story, you are not. These are disgruntled ex-employees who were fired because THEY did it, not PPS. The one post above stated that PPS fired them. Sorry people, NO company fires people just to fire them. There usually is a real reason behind it and one that the employee did themselves. If you have any sort of level headed brain, you know this is true, not just for PPS, but for all companies. Yes, I know there are re-structuring phases that companies go through, but there again the employees that are usually let go are the weak links in the company.

I get it now, this is why you were fired!!! Problem solved on this one. Super Secret huh....well that Manager Quarterly Bonus is posted right on the dashboard for all to see! Could have went and looked at it each quarter. Dumbass. No, hardship waivers are shunned upon because it takes away from our profit. Not only the non exsistent super secret bonus, but the center bottom line, the center bonus, the company bottom line, etc...I've been in million dollar homes of patients that want a hardship waiver. I've seen patients ask for hardship waivers who drive up in BMW's. I've seen patients ask for hardship waivers then go on a 1 month cruise to the bahamas. Want me to keep going!? PPS analyzes each one and makes a good common sense decision on who and who not to give these to. We like to give these to the old lady who lives on $500 a month from Social Security and REALLY can't afford it. The person who lives in a trailer on food stamps. These people deserve a break for medical care. Or have you forgot that this is medical care?

Totally agree with this assessment. Which company did he get hire on with? You have a very solid, educated guy that can get it done. He totally got screwed over by PPS.

Darren did get the shaft with PPS, But he also gave the shaft to a lot of people before he left . I would hate to have him on my team. He is a back stabber, so be careful around him. He will tell corporate one thing and you another. Not trustworthy at all. The reason he and Jason didn't get along is because they are just alike.

NO, NO, NO! You are totally wrong here and didn't know Darren at all! I will also agree with the first two assesments of Darren. Well respected quality guy. He did more for PPS than anyone. Yes, I mean anyone! He built the Mtn. Region from zero to the fastest growing region in the company. He had three of the top 5 centers in the company as far as growth goes. Solid guy, wish he was still here! Where is Darren??
