Nominations for worst manager at Novartis

Any manager, ABL, RD that re-allocates resources such as people to other parts of a district to help a “ favorite “ is the worst kind of manager. Speak up, speak out if this happens to you or you see it happening. Working in a hostile working environment when people in power can decide who they want to win and lose should be fired. And get a attorney.

Yep she's a hot mess. Screaming, saying racist things and expecting her reps to push the compliance line all for sales. I always wonder what will come out of her mouth next.
 




Little Marco and his little band of unaccountable wussy NVS reps at it again? Over paid, under worked finger pointers. Everyone knows none of them are working and like to play the blame game on others. Then there is Little Maro, the spitting image of Micheal Avenatti with about the same deranged personality. NVS wonders why it's image is so bad look no further than Tampa, FL. That District is a rat ship. I just don't understand why they keep making so much trouble by drawing attention to themselves constantly when they have it so good.

You have to get a chuckle out of Little Marcos stories when he tells you how good of friends he is w/ some of the MDs and then you take him into the office and the MD barely acknowledges him. Comical, you can actually watch him turn red. Then in the car he back pedals and tries to blame it on the MD being so busy. You just have to sit there and chuckle under your breath at him.

Let me clue you all in......NO ONE IS WORKING!!! NO ONE!!! There is no one to see and there isn't an office out there that cares about Entresto!! It's the easiest job every and this district seems to muck it up!!! And they keep paying the same few speakers tens of thousands of dollars to talk about NO NEW INFORMATION!!! I believe there is a whistle blower going on about that already so why would this district send up even more flags!

Then there is the CV1 manager who runs around w/ that note book taking notes of only items to criticize, comment and critique.. Ms. Sunshine....

Tampa, you need to get your house in order. The NVS Reps need to understand that Entresto is their drug not someone else's and when the numbers are not good you need to own it and not point a finger in some other direction. Unreal about how unaccountable these people are.

And Farmer Clark, how about putting your big boy pants on once in a while and stand up for your representatives so NVS dosen't think they are just for beating on? There is a fine line between pleasing the client to keep the business but there is also a moral response ability to do the the right things for your Representatives and put your foot down every now and then concerning boundaries on what is expected from the NVS personnel, who gets to boss who and hold them accountable for their own business.

I still say Daniela in California. We had a break from her ride alongs with covid but I dread the day she's is back with us. I'm amazed what she says and how the company doesn't see her as a liability. She offends people and then pretends not to understands why. There's something wrong with her, some personality problem. But what I can't get is why she is kept her job.
 




She keeps her job because the CA region has weak leadership. Regional D rarely communicates with the field force. There are reps in the region who haven’t entered a call or done a lunch in a year well before COVID. Regional seems to be afraid of conflict. I’m sure Daniella runs all over him.
 




I can say I haven't really had much interaction with regional and that should tell me a lot as in other places there is much more presence of leadership. But Daniela is such a liability I world assume someone in the company would want to remove her..
I am told that often managers are kept way past their use as it a long process to bring in a new manager. But really? Is she worth keeping?
 








The Industry is a "starter" job anymore. It's good for recent college grades and the mommy club. The initial training is hard but good, it would give a recent college grad a good foundation. The managers received below average advice and manage by fear, intimidation or ego. I think Grocery store managers are better prepared to deal w/ people problems because the Pharma Manager is not. If you like to be talked down to, if you like to be treated as a child the industry is good. Finally, it's not sales, that's what's at the heart of the problem, middle management running around pressuring and talking like it's sales when access in most of the Urban setting is extremely limited and requires lunch only presentations and that is if the MD even comes into the lunch room. Everyday is a crap shoot wondering how many times you will have to lie about your calls. Many people have said it here many times, it's a customer service job but unfortunately the experience you receive is ONLY good to another Pharma company and even then these jobs are scaled up and scaled down every 3-5 years so there is no security. Look at PSL's, many were hired 9 months ago only to be let go recently. A 9 month Job?!! Seriously some of these people left other jobs because they were offered good money now they are left holding the bag. It's a sorry industry people and anyone that wants to have adult conversations w/ other adults do not apply because you will not be having two way communication w/ anyone in this industry. It's all kids play, lying and double talk. My Manager used to thank me for being transparent, I was talking to him and telling him what will work in my territory since I've been in it for years. He didn't know what the word transparent meant, although he would acknowledge it. He would push for something that was totally unrealistic and of course it would blow up in his face then he would over coach to compensate for his failure to LISTEN to BOOTs on the GROUND. It became so silly and worthless I just resigned. It became like talking to a wall. If this is the way you want to live your life..Pharma is for you but personally if you double talk most people in the world they will place you in the loser category.
