No please we can’t cut the managers. I wouldn’t be the outstanding rep I am if it wasn’t for the bi weekly field rides and superb coaching I receive from my ABL hahahahaha

The highlight of my loser mgr job is policing receipts and rejecting expense reports. Useless POS who basically steals his big salary from the company for doing nothing.

Wow. I interviewed with Novartis for an R&D job. Met great people at the lab. Then met middle management and oh boy...10x times as many as lab workers, and weirdly unable to get shit done. Condescending as fuck and yet obviously not really understanding what R&D is about. Am I wrong or is communication between lab staff and middle managememt broken? Anyway, funny to see I'm not the only one with a bad impression of this crowd...

No idea what it’s like in the lab but I can tell you we have waaaayyyyy to many mid line managers and directors especially in the home office and not enough worker bees

It was my impression too. Big labs with very few people. Open space office, crowded. Too much middle management lead to office politicking and decision paralysis which leads to communication breakdown. Not to mention the bad ideas.
