KISS THEM GOODBYE

Another week, another sample of the rejected, whose last day is Monday April 4. Kicked out like so much refuse and garbage, in the name of 'innovation' and saving the Lillytanic 0.25 of the total to be fired:
BY,LD,GB,FG,PG,CS,CC,SM,PH,PP,AR,JN glob.med.ed.asst.; med.info.asoc.;salesrep.;asoc.consult.;assoc.learn.dev.;manuf.asoc.;manag.mark.acct.manag.; salesrep.; brnd.manag.endo.; direct.card.mrkt.; sr.terr.manag.; clin.port.consult.

Another week means LLY shows its civic values, its core, by continued MASS LAYOFFS, under the guise of "HELPING THE COMMUNITY". Thank you, LLY for contibuting loyal former colleagues to foreclosures, homelessness, crime and despair. Tomorrow, April 18, marks the last day for this sample of 1/5 of those whose hard work is rewarded by unemployment:
AM,ND,PB,SJ,NL,MM,AM,EM,ST,SL,DW,SR
bus.part.;sftwr.eng.;diab.reg.fin.anlyst.;e-detail.;info.qual.manag.;res.sci.;res.adv.clinic.;fin.assoc.;sales.rep.;infrastr.supp.;pr.manag.;csq.engin.

Re: Mass LAYOFFS

They keep on coming; the remaining shellshocked wander LCC/LTC in a daze...

"It's just an essential element of a $1B cost cutting program, which seeks to align the company into 5 business units, which will be sold off, piecemeal, in a massive auction, just after the Superbowl"

Kiss them ALL GOODBYE

Another busy week of slashing and destroying careers and lives. Watch them cart their few meager belongings to the parking lots, escorted by rent-a-guards. Today marks the last day at lilly for many. 1/5 of the total GONE FOREVER this week are:

Alleluia! He is risen! Which means yet another of unrelenting mass-layoffs. Say a prayer for those who will be escorted off the property today, marching to unemployment and despair. A very productive lay off frenzy, as the below represents a mere 1/6 of the total fired this week: MB,YC,ND,MA,ED,PH,CG,EE,RE,JF,SM,DN,AR,SS,JT,YP,RSres.sci;vp.glob.hlth.outcm.;clin.res.phys.;nsd.sr.sale.rep.;med.edu.;proc.assoc.;glob.pub.pol.;sr.sales.msk.;clin.op.manag.;pharm.epid.;clin.res.phys.;legal.op.manag.;obiee.dev;qual.assur.;manuf.tech.assoc.;qual.;sales.rep.

100 people Gone???? Really, you sure??

Re: Kiss them ALL GOODBYE

100 people Gone???? Really, you sure??

No, try 10,000 over the past four years and the upcoming year.

Let's do the math. Say, low-ball estimate, each employee is worth a total of $100k wi/bennies

10000 * 100000 = 1,000,000,000

Hey look at that, a billion dollars/year.....

Of course the pipeline is dry, but hey, A BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR!!!!

Its not just the lost employees, There have been major safety mistakes to product due to overturning the workforce. If everyone only knew what went out the door. It would scare the crap out of them. Sooner or later Lilly will get caught

JNJ proved to the whole world that dozens of recalls have absolutely no impact on drug prices, revenues, profitability, dividends, WHATEVER!!! What is happening now is a complete mockery of everything FDA was chartered to do.

Soon, China and India will become known for High Quality Pharmaceuticals.

Minions inside, and recently managed out of, Lilly keep asking the same questions on these boards. Why FIPnet? Why all the job cuts? Why continue the dividend? Employees are told it's about controlling costs and keeping stockholders holding onto their shares until the next blockbuster molecule. Survive to fight another day. But then, why the new hotel? Why the costly improvements to the 93 lobby? And why all the emphasis on diversity, what's that really about, aside from affirmative action compliance?

The real reason for these policies and strategies is to attract foreign investors. Period. Lilly needs emerging markets; it also needs emerging investors. The growth money is in overseas markets, so that's where JCL is creating relationships, operations, and goodwill. But US CEOs chasing that money have to play by the rules.

http://www.lessonsfromtheroad.com/2...ou-attract-foreign-investors-to-your-company/

Attracting foreign investors is the real goal of FIPnet. JL, DR, and all the Lilly strategists are focused on that goal. I believe they think it's the only way to keep Lilly independent and solvent. If some life-saving drugs get discovered and commercialized along the way, that's just the icing on the cake.

Maybe it's just a way to get around FDA regulations, in the long run.

If you can develop and have a drug approved in China, hey there is no FDA as long as the medicine is not consumed in the US!!! Sure the margins might not be as high in China, but neither are the costs. And we all know that many of their goods find their way into other markets via the internet or Golden Triangle.

Where do you think all of the heroin comes from? It's not FDA approved but it makes a lot of people rich - isn't this a dream come true for the C-Suite?

I think 25% of all generics are made in India. My lilly audit friend tells me that it was quite surprised with quality controls the indian pharma has, especially considering very few sectors are trustable. Plus, 50% of global API are made in India which even US cannot make for the price. It is acknowledged the the auditor friend that China may be 5-7 years behind India is Small molecule pharma, but they will be ahead in stem cell-based pharmacopoieae, passing over the biopharm.

All pharmaceuticals in China have a melamine molecule at the hydrogen atom. Beware. Instead of olanzapine, it will be olanzapine melamine, and it WILL be good for the elderly in nursing homes.

That's a pretty accurate assessment.

Nobody trusts China much in the way of small molecules, especially Chinese.

With regard to stem cells, who ever can do it better and faster, more power to them.
