Had interview in NJ today, had lot of sales experience sold NSAIDs, worked for start up companies, proven track record thought I was perfect fit, salary range only mid 60's. Was not chosen for position, not sure what they are looking for. Not to disappointed was not exactly my dream job, will be a difficult sell, so called improved version of cox-2's that never had a compliance problem to begin with. With Obama care and push for generics not going to be a fun battle.
What territory are you in?
I got an offer. SE. Yes on fleet car. No prev pharma exp but extensive sales background and relationships with many doctors in my territory. 60k + bonus. I'm excited, just a stepping stone.

I mean absolutely no disrepect to you but you have got to be kidding me. You have no pharma experience and experienced reps with proven track records are being turned down left and right for this contract. What a joke!
Experienced rep here who got a position. Get a life. Don't put them down. Maybe they simply interviewed better than you?
Again, I mean no disrespect to the rep with no experience. Congrats to them! Sounds like an amazing opportunity to enter the industry. You do have to question why these managers are passing on so many exerienced reps that have sold this class of medication for some that have absolutely no pharma experience. Quite puzzling and insulting actually!
My recruiter told me yesterday that I probably won't hear anything until next week. It's been 11 days since my final interview with the VP. Is anyone else waiting or should I assume I am not going to get a position?
It's been a week since I interviewed, and heard it could be 7-10 days before final decisions are made. The product approval isn't until Ocotober so there really is no rush. I think most will hear within a week or so if they've been chosen. Good luck!
I hope all those with no pharma experience learn quick, in a launch scenario you have 6 months at best to gain momentum with product or you are dead in the water, even harder going against generics and PBM's now. but I am sure these superstar DM's will be patient and not blame reps if launch is slow
Anyone receive offers in Charlotte, Raleigh or Greensboro/Winston-Salem?
