How to destroy field medical

AC seems like a nightmare ... we got some gems of an FD on the oncology side who are also crazy micromanagers, who still haven't stopped thinking that they are a super MSL that's what you get when you promote MSLs with limited yrs of actual MSL experience into management roles where all he cares about is goddamn numbers and spreadsheets (bringing over his BMS ways), with his politically correct statements and condescending tone when he speaks to you like hes the knower of all things. He tries to cover up his climber mentality by trying to be overtly liked or the "cool/chill" manager but his undertones of trying to control the narrative whether its about something the team needs or when ordering dinner it is clear to many of us that relinquishing control is not in your wheel-house. He is lucky because who is going to coach him? Certainly not CS, as he lives up her ass like a teachers pet and let alone you actually think she's coaching anyone!?!? It was so sad to see BB leave because he may have been the only one that could've possibly gotten thru to helping this FD improve on being better but now he thinks he coaching the new FD (SMH) ... to the new FD please dear God think for yourself and don't replicate what this FD is doing in the West!! You know who you are!

While I do not think he is bad intentioned, he really needs to stop mansplaining and stop it with the spreadsheets and constant beratement with numbers. I do not think he really understands how much adminstrative work he adds to our plate with some of his ideas. While I have not experience condescending tone, sometimes its hard to tell when he is genuine, with all his politically correct statements it becomes hard to tell where he stands on different topics also a slice of humble pie never hurt anybody. Hopefully the company shutdown and holidays allows everyone to simmer down, take a breath, reset and try again next year.

Im sorry is it just me or is anyone else not going to accept a bunch of applause points and some BS accelerator award at the end of the year in the place of comping me appropriately for the business impact I made for the organization once the course of the year. I heard from other MSLs that their FD told them that all valuable ratings will be at 100% (just like last year) and that there won't be many exceptionals this year?!?! Like wtf if most people are going to get valuable and you aren't differentiating why the heck do some of us work so damn hard to make IMPACT and then when we do its not properly recognized and rewarded in our performance review. Why do I bother working hard, I should work like some of the other lazy ass MSLs on our teams that do little to nothing and also get valuable - in what world is this remotely fair. This place has gone down the drain so bad, we used to be recognized and rewarded well and after all these leaders came from other shitty pharma companies bringing with them this communistic views of performace reviews that it has resulted in this. I know getting an exceptional is like having the sun, moon and stars aligning over an effing rainbow. I can't wait to see who the efff gets these Pinnacle awards it will tell what these LTs really values. Is it true hard work and real business impact or extreme ass kissing and favoritism. Oh and on top of that, can't wait to see which of these shitty leaders get it as well, half of them don't do anything, don't motivate teams, just collect a fat paycheck making our lives miserable and you really wonder if you just need a pulse to get these jobs and its really about who's ass you've crawled up. Watch it be some of these a-hole leaders that are talked about all over these threads. This place is such a dumpster fire! As I write this I wonder to myself why the heck I'm still here, with all these negative readouts maybe it is time to update that resume, never thought that I would be thinking about leaving this place before the last 2-3 years.

Sounds like one of the douche bag children we hire to be MSLs. We used to have standards here and people with real experience now we have people right out of post-docs and my kids age. Better yet managers my kids age. TRUELY PATHETIC!

Literally had one of top doctors privately text me after a field day with my FD asking me how that man-child was my boss! I told her to put it in the annoying survey ha!
 






Keep the focus on the problems instead of insulting each other.

Describe how your manager is a man child instead of calling them a man child.

Let’s not paint people with broad brushes. People can’t control if they are young/old, people need jobs.

If they aren’t doing their jobs, call them out. There are specific dingleberries that are the problem. Call them out here. AC and TO, who else?

All of them brought their own 'special' eff'd up skills and the results speak for them-selves....lol. Many high quality very experienced leaders and individual contributors are long gone and more leaving. In Oncology alone, there has been an ongoing exodus down the street to
Gilead.

1) who sees through the bs,
2) acknowledges reading these comments and acting on them,
3) calibrates mediocre managers so that they can be better leaders, 4) leads us

Honey, you have no idea how 'real' the posts on here are about PH.

YES, for sure she should have grown for all the stupid decisions and mistakes she has made on the backs of great people (manager/employees)

PH also is NOT transparent and will masquerade and maneuver her way through situations while smiling you as she is stabbing you in the back.

I hope she has grown and improved and just wish she would drop the coy BS. I suspect she is very insecure and does it to cover.



Went to usma mtg really looking forward to meeting two powerhouse asian woman leaders for the first time.

Met one and she was confidant, kind, down to earth and real - this board is just full of bullies saying terrible things about PH! She was nothing like what was said here (I'm sure I'll get hate for this post for even saying this), have you considered the possibility that she had changed/ grown because you know humans are capable of that.

Met the other and she couldn't give me the time of day (guess us MSLs aren't important enough) as she was too busy parading her boss around the reception. Its crazy how one interaction can tell you a lot about someone and their inability to connect with people and lack of truly wanting to genuinely care about creating real connectivity (which I thought was the purpose of the receptions).

I'm not trying to tear down another woman in this industry but just voicing my disappoint in the hopes that she cares enough to work on trying to develop genuine connections with the MSLs and be more present.
 






FMLT out of touch in over head……….we blame you Rav. Thanks for setting this team up for failure. Went from Good to Bad under your leadership. MEDs are angry….we have been lied to about our role, resources you name it.

At the ONEUSMA meeting, Rav will unveil his newest tool. A map of all prioritized ICX accounts (he won’t mention who prioritized them) overlayed with some bullshit Diversity metric (that no one knows how he came up but the D&I angle is what’s sexy) and tell all MSLs to be proactive (without providing any practical details)…it’s not like he’s actually been at a customer meeting.
