Horrible company to work for...

The hospital was Stoney Brook. I've been hearing about this for over a year. It just went poof over night. Great job to the bloated Zone Director for that one.

Applied should give Voyant to hospitals for free. That's hell of a better business model than what they have now.

Even if Voyant was free, the hospitals still wouldn't want it.

APPLIED should stick to $18 trocars, but then they will charge list price to smaller account to screw them. What a great business plan.

I was in awe when I heard ML say in the meeting that her plan was for us is to focus on major metro areas such as LA, NYC, Chi, Hou and such. WOW, who would have ever thought of that? I can't believe that we have been so blinded and not gone after large cities where there are more hospitals. ML's business acumen is second to none! Applied is so lucky to have someone with such great foresight and vision.

Your an idiot. You clearly have selective hearing.

To the upset rep complaining about a “contract” with Stony Brook, I’m sorry you felt like you had a chance.

Worked on LI at applied for Kurt long time ago. He was always “working” on a contract.

until Applied is bought out, no one will ever take you seriously. We were saviors 10 years ago taking $120 trocars to $40. That’s it

this post is spot on. I’ve been in the industry 13 years now and it was a good story to tell back then, but 90% of the surgeons in a hospital don’t give a rat’s ass about a trocar anymore. Since Applied doesn’t have any truly game changing products, it blows my mind how Said hasn’t sold by now.

Those forecasts are all lies. Then the hsms lie to the directors and then so on. It’s the cycle to keep these no-talent managers off peoples ass. Amari has been calling for Hopkins for 5 yrs. lol

I don’t mind JA. He has no idea what he’s doing and continues to call for Hopkins because he thinks perception is reality but I think it’s just because he’s constantly drunk and his perception is off. He needs to look in the mirror because he’s gonna be a washed up, drunk hsm for the rest of his career (passed over for hsd several times now). Paging Steve B.

I know there is always truth on this board but it’s not JA, I get the sense anyone at applied over 50 is a drunk and yet it seems they are protected. There is a strong pattern for this.

The key to success if you want(no idea why you would want to) to stay at Applied and thrive is recognize patterns. Then you can position yourself to take advantage.

Extremely wise words from previous post, wish you would elaborate. It seems like a half wit could thrive here with the lack of leadership, skill, work ethic from senior mgmt.

What I’ve see is this network of old lazy rednecks that just cover their own asses. It truly seems like the good ole boys network. While I do see some goodness and value from Applied and do appreciate the good fight and being the underdogs there really doesn’t seem like any career progression past HSM. And yet HSMs that are closing Voyant and national deals quit?

I think I’m in a unique market where there are no other real other med device jobs. All my comp is 15 years deep at JnJ and Medtronic. Just figured this was my career path and should try to advance my career here at Applied that or move to NYC and find a start up

It always bothers me that they dance and brag about pillars and vertical integration and pricing to customers. However, we’re so happy to take a health system to list because we don’t get our way or outcome, so we stick it to the patients with the cost of our products anyways.
Stop the monkey business and offer the best price

I know my HSM pushed back but our loser director said it’s not personal it’s business when we decided to raise 5 of my accounts Gel pricing $100 a unit during COVID last year. One account told surgeons use robot it’s cheaper than the GelPort.

seriously that goes against what we are supposed to be at Applied Medical. Just flat out pathetic

The company is changing for the worst. You are correct. On one hand we talk about reducing the cost of healthcare then on the other hand we sell gel products for $700 because there is no competition. It is all a fake ploy. Management has now turned to adding additional personnel to push business opportunities. a slap in the face of all AM and HSM. More will not equal more sales, in fact it will frustrate the teams, create more stress, and drive more people away. Setting quota in the clouds will not drive sales and to those who set the quotas you are detached from reality....our customers do not see us as saviors...we annoy them trying to drive $50k cost savings into $Billion businesses.

If the AM's were doing their job Applied wouldn't need to pluck their most talented folks to go work on projects that AM's should be doing on a daily basis. You all should be VPM's and have your own Voyant and Clip projects up and running.

Listen here dipshit that said AM's should be doing their jobs.

When fat Carpenter comes into the account and puts trocars at list price, Applied is just another hack company.

Don't get me started on Voyant. Fat boy has screwed up so many negotiations that it's a shame we have to get him involved.

Whoaaaaa!!!! Easy Young Blood. Why would you even think Applied could “negotiate” at the NYC table. Team should be lucky to get a PO and make money. Carpenter is hands down worst but Timmy and DG don’t know how to spell PO.

it’s ok, you missed out on the January hiring market. Your own fault for still being here. Still gotta wait 4-5 More months for the retention bonus. You made your decision, the rest of us did as well.

just don’t let Carpenter ruin your reputation in this industry. See you on the other side my fiesty friend!

Exits come in waves. The end of the year wave has come, be ready to lose half your team when retention bonuses are paid out.
