Electric Vehicle

It only gets 247 miles to a charge! That won’t fly in my territory!! Not to mention it’s not safe to try and charge in the areas I work! Get ready HR!! This is not only not safe but how are you supposed to charge multiple times a day and I don’t have a garage at home!!
Your post makes sense because there is no way that you could act like an adult and charge your car at/close to your home since you drive 200+ miles a day on M-F.

You’re full of shit.

According to the FAQ document, you are considered ready for an EV if:

You live in a home (not an apartment)
Drive less than 180 miles per day on average
Don't live where you get more than 40 inches of snow per year, which would put you in an AWD

The company will pay for the level 2 charger installation, and up to $70/mo for your electricity, tracked by the charger app

It also helpfully tells you to keep your doors locked for your safety if you have to be in your vehicle for extended periods of time while charging in public, for those days where you exceed your average mileage. How nice for the company to be so interested in our safety!

I just looked up EV charging stations semi-close to my home. There are two. Mean I mean semi-close, I mean within 10-15 miles. The closet one has two charging stations. Two. So lets say both are being used and there is a person waiting to use one. One of the two in use just got connected.

I don't know much about wait times but let's say charge on the cars are ~25% (1/4 of a tank of gas), what is the wait time for a full fill? As I hear people go back and forth, I am thinking I could be waiting close to an hour for my turn + a full charge on my car? If that is the case, this will get old real fast.

Don’t you care about the environment? Go at 2 AM, no wait and you’ll be using off-peak electric.

Look at the bright side: right now you just get paid to cater food and stand in a sample closet looking like an idiot. You now get to mix it up a little and add standing around looking stupid waiting to charge your car.

You work 4-5 hours. Stop acting as though reps are pressed for time with your busy schedules.

I think the bright side is tinting the windows, going to pornhub on my cell and popping off a round while I wait.

Stop whining like a little baby! Keep it up and management will give you a Chevy Spark as the work car.

100% agreement on the Spark! In addition, I would cut the sales force by 75% and embrace digital marketing and sales. Technology will be the future of pharma - - - y'alll remember Blockbuster stores!

Many of you do work 4-5 hours a day, cater food, do nothing, add no value, etc. Many of you are diabetes or primary care reps making 100k in small territories with teammates. Consider some people commenting here have a different perception than you because:

1. Some of us getting electric cars have roles that don’t involve standing in a closet or catering food. FRMs, KADs, biologic reps, TLLs.
2. Many in small sales forces at AZ who’s territories are 4-5 states
3. Many of us that making over 200k and actually do have a job to do, but get stuffed in the same, below industry standard vehicle as the rest of you who don’t work
4. Many of us that do already have personal cars, having the fleet vehicle is a huge inconvenience that we pay 140 for. I don’t need anymore inconveniences in an already booked solid day.

Your perception of how useless reps are is shaped by who you are as a rep.

Well said! And the comments alluding to “get another job rep” bypass all we have worked for in a company we like, for the most part, a leader we trust and products we believe in.

This is unfortunate and AZ is essentially biting the hand that feeds them by adding a limited mileage option to an already stretched geography.

But don’t worry to those commenting we are just a caterer, we will be using GrubHub

You only feed your offices. You are not part of access or strategy. What’s the GTN for your territory? You’re a walking billboard and cheaper than a mass DTC campaign.
