DM meeting next week to discuss realignment?

Has any OSR heard from their manager today? Does any Quintiles OSR know if they are opening any Alcon position before the lay off?

What I have heard is that a good amount if the Quintiles reps will be let go. A large portion of this will be in the SEE division. Some contracted reps will be offered Alcon positions and the others will be laid off. This is primarily going to be geography based to limit as much rep overlap as possible. This is ALL hear-say though, I can not say any of it with any certainty. Just wanted to post what I've heard. Good luck everyone!

Just heard from an inside source that all the DM's were let go! No Joke!

Just herd the same thing from a DM friend in the southwest. They were all brought down to TX because Novartis cleaned house. This just went from a pleasant acquisition to a hostile take over after the fact.

Does this include the RTM's as well? Any clue? And that absolutely sucks for them. Looks like those reps who do get to keep their jobs will all be managed by Novartis people who know absolutely nothing about Eye Care.

I'm an OSR, and I think the reason we're being asked to work tomorrow before the call (and M's and G's aren't) is so Quintiles can bill Alcon.

55 people viewing this late at night? Guess I'm not the only one that can't sleep. Just to be mentally prepared what is the Novartis severance package? I heard 12 weeks pay but I don't know if that's accurate.

2 months pay for severance. Just doesn't make sense. Why do a mass lay off when our competitors are doubling their sales force in the field? We're just going to hand them business on a silver platter? We're launching new products. They can't seriously believe only one rep per division can cover an entire state/territory.
