Collapsed territories

Again, pea brain, we understand dissolving territories and assigning accounts to other reps. However, the fact that reps were given accounts but the company did NOT add the previous quarter's purchases from the accounts to the reps base vials for the quarter was WRONG! The result was ALL of the purchases from the "gifted" accounts were counted as growth vials which resulted in payouts exceeding 15k in additional bonus for the rep. It pushes others down in the rankings and that's not fair. Period.

It's not the real world, its the Cadence world. And it's fucked up.

Whatever, LOL all the way to the bank. This company rocks!

LOL I love this "all the way to the bank" stuff. Do you people realize that there are plenty of companies who will pay the same base and similar bonus that we make?

It is so funny how blinded some of us are here.

You can make the same $$ and pick up 401K, ESPP, etc. Plus you can carreer plan a little better, as the company will likely not be folding!

People, ignore this rhetoric, there are no companies out there with the opportunity Cadence provides for you and your career. You were on the townhall call the other day, you know from here on its $$$ and career advancement. Oh and don't forget we're weighing all of our many, many options for what product to add to our extensive portfolio.

LMAO!

How's this for F'd up. I could have taken a job for a few $$'s less in base with better benefits, but I turned it down so my partner at Cadence would not absorb all my accounts for free. Anger management request please. It's affecting my common sense.

Are you insane? If you have a family, stability should be your number one priority not your self pride. Every rep I know is looking for a new job right now and I mean every single person. What do we have in terms of stability? A one drug hit wonder? slash that I mean ONE drug. Keep in mind, we have no R&D department and our money is draining. WIf you havent figured it out already, there is more than a decent pay base. I have taken a huge hit with my family's medical bills. Our insurance stinks and i have never been wth a company where they changed insurance plans three times in less than a year. My child's surgery and medical bills are at an all-time high and so many of my medications and my husband's medications are being denied and require prior auth. I have put so many miles on my car and have really sat down and looked at the numbers and i know i am not breaking even. This company isnt stable and eventually everyone will be looking for a new job. Who cares if someone takes your accounts if you are leaving anyway. I'm sorry to say, but this will probably be your biggest career regret. Second to only taking the job in the first place.

your anger mgt will take place here; higher base pay isn't worth it, but live and learn; I took this job 2 yrs ago and I've lived and learned; there's more important things in a position than base pay; I do think the people I've met at the meetings are pretty smart, but come on!

Well Said. Thank you for sharing. I feel the same way.

Collapsed territories? More like forced firings and not filling territories because company can't afford. All while smiling and telling reps how great company is doing.

I know my time at Cadence is coming to a close, contemplating a future without clueless, take-no-responsibility upper management is my saving grace.

Collapsed territories? More like collapsed company.

I agree, I quit Cadence in May, but I have yet to tell anyone. My territory is producing moderately and my manager from what I've heard is pressuring other district members out the door.

What a great job, time to hit the links.[/QUOTE

Pressuring you out the door/? Doesn't sound like us. Unless you're in the SE.

This is the old Scios way. The same crap took place in early 2000's with all of RSL's "boys" and of course, his girls. does he still get drunk and get the evil eye? a nasty drinker to say the least.

I guess there were other things that did not sit well which made the decision to turn it down. I am not unhappy here and it would seem like same thing somewhere else. My only pause was long term comparison. And we all know how that compares. My commissions here at Cadence are/were keeping me afloat......until collapsed territories. Maybe there is more left to find?
