All offers out

The managers and higher ups are the only ones actually employed by Sage and Biogen.
Waiting 4-6 weeks to hear if they are going to honor the offer they gave us 5 weeks ago is just more waiting.

Sage was my ticket out of the shithole that is Intracellular. Now it looks like I’m stuck. I hate this industry.

call.

I love most of what I felt from "culture" at Sage (Quote)

Of course you did cause it was all non Substance based fluff and them stroking us. Sage has a history of being just like any other big pharma co. Most if not all of the leadership team all came from big pharma.

I feel very similarly. Not at itci but similar dead end/boring neuroscience company. I think we were all excited for Sage. Truly sorry for everyone affected, mainly the ASMs since they don’t have a job to go back to

So what’s everyone saying to their managers Monday morning? I’m a PPD rep and I’m sure my manager will call me Monday morning. What do I honestly say? Sure let me sit back and wait to see what happens in 4-6 weeks?

Then leave d*ckbag. There’s a bunch of people behind you happy to take your job.

why? Why do you have to be so immature? Is it because you are anonymous? You comment on someone’s comment that was just being real. Lots of us were looking forward to this opportunity and stay in this industry because it’s our career……I think we could all agree that the unstableness and volatility of this industry is not ideal but I make more than any of my similarly educated friends and work half the time. That’s why we all stay!

If that were true, explain why ITCI has so many vacancies. Many have been open for months and the managers can’t get quality applicants to apply. Why is there so much turnover in leadership there?

Is that a good answer for you F***stick?

And there lies the golden handcuffs syndrome.

I am in the industry and sick and tired of people I rub elbows with complaining every day about their damn job. This is a good gig… Is it perfect? No. Is it a pain in the ass sometimes? Absolutely. But if you can’t go anywhere else and make better money and have better flexibility than why complain?

If you were banking on this job opportunity then you are not very smart. This was risky from the beginning, and we are all sorry about that but if you are currently employed and still unhappy, get out.

Ooh f***stick you’re so cool. ITCI is the only one who can answer that - It’s a smaller company with limited resources selling a med that isn’t always favorable… Maybe they hire bad managers, who knows?

This opportunity might still be available for the PPD/OBGYN side. The psych side is in a different boat and I don’t think any of them will be offered anything.
I’m in OBGYN now and I have a job, not the job I want forever but I do have a paycheck and for that I’m thankful. I doubt they are going to take the psych side and offer them the opportunity in the OBGYN space but what do I know, I accepted the original offer here.
And please don’t call people stupid or dumb for still wanting this. You don’t know people’s situation. Some don’t have a job at all. I doubt anyone in a great situation would have even entertained Sage in the first place. You wouldn’t be on here if you were working for a great company who paid you well, selling a great product and with a fantastic manager.

Sorry Sparky… You’re wrong on all counts. I’m very happy where I am… But I am always open to new opportunities. I interviewed with Biogen and Sage knowing this was a risk. I have many colleagues who accepted offers who are now unable to take them because of the risk I knew about… No one‘s fault but it is what it is.

Nothing has been decided for either Biogen or Sage. The drug will come to market for PPD, but how many reps now is being what is currently being decided. Many drugs only get approved for one indication and then they work out the others.. We also need to remember that the CRL is not ever made public. We are all speculating that MDD is totally done for. Maybe it is, but maybe not! Too many variables that are still unknown. And as always, reps will be the last to know!

True, but consider:

Biogen was/is the wallet here needed to fund clinical trials. Analysts have already signaled that given Biogen's new leadership and their own financial situation are unlikely to support the MMD program for Z any further.
All of us here lack the information to know what really is planned but one thing we do know is MDD was unapproveable and a path to approval would be protracted and involve significant costs.
