All offers out

Well at least you sad sap reps that only stay for a couple years at each of your previous companies, always looking to grab batter pay, will once again see that getting your hopes up doesn't always work out. Hey, the good thing is you've once again had a chance to update your resume with all your stellar BS performances with the last 2 or 3 companies you've jumped from. Now go out there and keep looking for that next big gig or at least until the next big shinning opportunity is presented.
This person has been picked on a lot in life and is just taking it out on here. People are losing their jobs and this shouldn't be something that anyone makes light of. bottom line. I don't care what your infinite wisdom perception is of this situation, livelihoods are at stake. I wish everyone well. Times are already uncertain enough as it is. There are plenty of people on here that don't have a to spew vitriol to feel better about themselves from behind a keyboard and actual care about this situation. You, are the sad sap that is probably behind all of the garbage on here. Everybody knows this guy. He's the guy at the meeting flashing his rolex and slick suit talking about himself. You the man. Any organization would be so lucky to have you and your amazing skillset.

It’s true, this is where all the company hoppers get burned.

Over time the tend to make more and end up with inflated titles, but there are downturns as well. Sometimes their families take it in the chin.

The job hoppers you speak of are followers of former managers that convince them to come join them on the next journey. And so many of these new journeys are going nowhere. BUT, many are displaced employees from the 2022 crazy high pharma layoffs. They did nothing but get a new job.... Well actually what they did wrong is we all do ... Staying in a rapidly portion of pharma. F2F pharma reps are becoming obsolete, whether they should or not

As a former pharma recruiter in my previous life and now on the other side as a manager doing the hiring in Pharma, this comment certainly resonates. I feel for those of you who are part of this layoff, but just beware that there are plenty of folks presently employed who will do everything in their power to keep getting a leg up while taking meaningful opportunities away from those who have been displaced. Unfortunately there is a huge domino affect in this industry with a "gotta get mine" mentality. Even if it means leaving a current secure job for a few extra bucks or what they think is that next best thing.

Equity is the most important thing in this shitty industry. If you work for a big company you are simply a number working for the man. I have constantly jumped and made more in equity than working at two different copanies. I also know more people and I have never been unemployed. You have to jump in this industry because staying at one company is not rewarded. You gotta be in it to win it! Good luck to all.

Sorry but you are a pompous loser

What are some of the next high risk start ups out there?
I know that Van Dyke & Andrews has their OX40, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, in Phase 2. It’s under their MP umbrella. Owkaz’s 8TLEN is in Phase 1. If you’re looking for a company that is closer to a sure thing, I’ve heard N K Oteabee has the right stuff.

This goes to show money isn’t everything. Sure are you ready to jump for more equity? You’ve got to be smarter than that… Sage was a mess from the start, they laid off people six years ago and they did it again because they are run by morons. They just don’t have it… When the medical officer, discovery researcher and others “Leave to explore other opportunities” it’s done. Their recruiters were horrible and the hiring managers were clueless. I’m sorry about all of this but this is a lesson that not all start ups are good.

kakistocracy
kăk″ĭ-stŏk′rə-sē, kä″kĭ-
noun
  1. Government by the least qualified or most unprincipled citizens.
  2. Government by the worst men in the state: opposed to aristocracy, government by the best men.
  3. Government by the worst men
Our entire country and it's corporations are run by morons. It's like a disease that needs to be eradicated

Agree 100%, I don’t blame representatives that leave their comfort zone for better paying opportunities, especially when you live in a country with skyrocketing food prices and everything else…the company you choose to leave for does matter though. Sage doesn’t have a good reputation and they’ve effectively killed their chances of capturing any top tier talent moving forward. These guys always screaming that “the grass isn’t always greener” have minion mentalities and will always be good “workers”…do your research on the company and make good choices, Sage isn’t a good choice!

Pick your pharma poison. Unstable start ups and frequently having to change jobs every 1-2 years or big pharma stagnant company going no where. Honestly it’s the same BS leaders running both type of compnIes and thus the problem with the entire damn pharma industry. They’re all being run by big pharma mindless minions.

Not true about food prices. Eggs are back to a dollar fifty at Aldi’s.

True this is very real. Look at the bios of any leader for any start up and they’re all former big pharma dummies. Every last one of them. You may think you’re getting away from it all at a start up but you’re not! SOS!
