Xiidra / Oph enough is enough!!!

I wonder if they let directors look for jobs within Novartis. Some of them are in for a rude awakening if not. They preach how great Novartis is and how they take care of their employees. Would be ironic if they were not allowed to look for something within.
 




BL has some of the lowest salaries in the industry. If you have a high salary you’re gone.

(which I don’t know why they are still up if they’re taking us all ) for dry eye specialist it says Salary range $130–1 55K
My salaries in that range and many other Novartians I feel at the low end or below it .

That position is similar to key account manager not regular rep spot.
 




I just emailed my manager and told her I'm not going to the regional meeting because I don't feel comfortable. Listen, a lot of reps are angry and disgruntled right now. Probably not the best time to force people to go to a useless meeting they never wanted to go to to begin with. This is the perfect setting for a shit storm. Let's put a bunch of angry, frustrated employees together in a shitty hotel for 3 days after we told them we really don't know what the future holds for their livelihood. People will be talking, gossiping, drinking. Tempers will flare. Heated conversations. Have they never heard of people going postal!!

For those of you that were here when Novartis bought Alcon... how did that transition go... and what's the difference that you're seeing with the B&L buy out. The Shire/ Takeda buyout was just horrible.... and that is what we are all thinking is going to happen.. and ps... its more than 12 months before you can reapply to Novartis... if you feel inclined... we can't apply affective 6/30... then the 12 months starts when the transition is final... easily 18 months...

Happy to share. She called me as soon as she got the email and said that it doesn't look good if I choose not to go. Said we need to continue to work hard and prove ourselves so that we put our best foot forward with B&L. She said everything we do right now is being looked at. I just kind of laughed and said ok. I'll be texting her Monday night with a cause of food poisoning though.

After being the calls today I refuse to spend 3 days listening to this web of lies when I could be home with my family and looking for a new job.
 




So how does everyone feel after being on the calls today? I'm still so confused and feel really uneasy. It seems they have no concrete answers other than we are all guaranteed jobs at comparable salary and benefits, but for how long no one knows. There is no severance. And that's basically all we really know. I just have this sick feeling B&L brought us on only because we're trained on Xiidra. They can have a seamless transition in the short term, but then cut us whenever they want.

Has anyone ever notice that the negative comments most of the time deal with a RD in the NE? LOL She is a real piece of work. I feel sorry for all of those in the NORTH.

I doubt the close of the sale will take very long. Tad got me laughing when he said it could take a year lmao yeah RIGHT!! They’re really trying to keep us out in the field with that talk aren’t they?! I’m not falling for that shit! I haven’t believed anything he’s said so far and I don’t intend to start now.

In regards to severance at least if B+L lays us off within 12 months we get the Novartis severance package…I’d be ok with that!

Bausch I thought has NSM in September?
Is that when Miebo plans to launch too ?
Any chance tbis hets done by then so we join them at meeting ?

8/31 Makes sense. It was mid-April when Novartis/Takeda deal was announced and closed last day of June back in ‘19
 




Anyone doing more than checking a box from now til the deal goes through is an idiot. Why would you even try? You're guaranteed a position with B&L barring getting fired before then. Just keep your nose clean and mind your business. Enjoy summer and work just enough to collect your paycheck. They don't give 2 shits about us so why should we bend over backwards for them.

I see a lot of pool/lake days in my future this summer. I’ll go see the doctors I like and bring food to their offices but that’s maybe 10 offices total. No plans to work hard right now.
