Worst Managers here?

Please explain to me what other pharma company or any outside sales job where you get a ride along less than every two weeks?? Who was the idiot that said, "this is a great idea"? My current manager has 5 people. Yes 5!! He claims his job is safe and they won't restrucrue him!!

The job is what it is, and ride alongs are part of it. You can cry and hope that someday the job turns into what you want it to be, but that's probably never happening. Or, you can take off and go do something else. Maybe start a pharma company and never have ride alongs. But, someone else is calling the shots here, and they like ride alongs. Sorry.

Obviously, you've got some problems with your boss that you're doing your best to project on to me. I just gave you some advice - you don't call the shots; someone else does. If you want that to change, you can start a company or go work for a different company that lets you do things your way. You seem to think that NNI is poised to do it all your way just because you want them to. Sorry. It's not going to happen. Either do the job as it is or get lost. This is just a reality check for you. No need to project all your angst on your boss on someone who's trying to give you a good piece of advice.

The past is prologue. If the common perception is more layoffs are coming, why pay more severance than is necessary. If I were being "coached" constantly, I would have to wonder if I was being targeted for a PIP. The more reps forced out, the less severance will need to be paid. I've seen this many times over the years. If you are riding with your manager that often, ask yourself - are my numbers good? Does my manager basically ignore my contributions at meetings? There are other signs. Many of you are making exit plans now; maybe even more should.
