What's up in Cambridge

I admit, although I didn't always agree with SP delivery, he knew what was needed to make CS run smoothly. I come in to work everyday now with no clue as to what is expected of me. Just like 3-4 years ago, I am being asked to work like a slave without the recognition I had grown used to within the past 1-2 years. As much as I HATE to say this, I MISS SP!

Why does DL still have a job? She must have compromising pictures of someone important, or something like that.

"GET ON THE PHONES, PEOPLE!!!"

Shelby, stop patting yourself on the back.

Face it, SP had 2 sides. he was very good at motivating people and running the department like clockwork, the fact that he did it through fear and intimidation matters not in the corporate world. Look where it got him in a very short period of time. He is a tough act to follow. He was fortunate to have TLs that would follow directions no questions asked. It makes for great metrics, but maybe not happy employees. His legacy lives on. We'll see how this next batch does with RP in place.

That is only one side. One dimensional "leadership" using fear and intimidation is exactly that: short sighted. Shame on DL and HR for allowing this to happen. The present and past employees do or did their best every day. Corporate management culture in Cambridge does not have to motivate us by being a dink to subordinates. We are better than you think! (and are tired of making YOU look good...)

so frickin true

Quest NE has been so much more productive since merging MA & CT. Proof: The negative blogging on this site since it happened has decreased 10 fold. Look at "dead-weight" that left, got fired, or quit because they had to do a "real job."

Congrats to H-Yueng for being a true standup guy. Any director who puts his cell phone number in his email is a true leader.

I was at the QSuite sales meeting in Wallingford and instead of deception tactics to influence clients, it was mainly "real-life" advantages we can offer. GREAT FUTURE AHEAD FOR QUEST DIAGNOSTICS!

YAWN.

Companies are either pedaling, braking or coasting. Cambridge is now coasting. Quick, stop any innovation!

well, message from wallingford lab, just wondering how you all like Qsuite now that you are actually using it. we (in the lab) feel that it is the best thing since...... DOS!! really super efficient and so easy to work with. It's like travelling back in time, and has increased our
tat by oh... negative 15 percent at least. Hope you all are doing better, but really, we wouldn't have minded if you kept most of our managers up there a little longer. or forever,

Where, oh where, has our Shelby gone, oh where, oh where can he be?

What happened? Was he really "laid off"? Seems like a pretty specific "lay off".

Now that some dust has settled, are you stil happy, or did you look down and discover a glass of kool-aid in your hand?
