The fact that you have no idea how long you will live is exactly why you need to have retirement funds in place. The older you get, the more likely you will need to deal with long term care and other medical costs, not to mention basic living expenses that are rising rapidly due to inflation. What kind of care do you think you will have if you can only rely on Medicaid/Medicare?

As to the rest of your post, it is just a bunch of nonsense like much of your other comments.

Better to rely on good eating habits and lifestyle NOW.

Healthcare in America is the worst it has ever been, Mr. Jabber. That should be obvious when you have a centralized system.

I do think having a big family is the best insurance policy. It is risky for men to have children or get married, but the older I get, the more I believe that risk is worth it.

We all die alone, but having family there when it happens, will lessen the loss of life.

And yes, the 401k still blows.

I never mentioned my eating habits, yet you admitted to consuming raw milk, which is loaded up with fecal matter and pathogens (read the literature). If you don’t like the healthcare system, move to Canada or the UK, where you can wait in line for many months to get care. See how that works out for you.
