Vectra 3d Selling on Internet

I used Vectra 3d on my 7 dogs last year before bringing it into our clinic for our clients. Last year was the first year ever that my pack did not have fleas or ticks. Even my hound that stays outdoors most of the day did not have fly bites on his ears. My cocker experienced no signs of allergies which I believe was due to the fact he never had that break thru flea on him. My dobe did not drool excessively 24 hour after applying it and no one lost patches of hair at the spot it was applied.
I don't care who makes it or where it comes from. I do know that it works and that is all a client really cares about as well. Let's keep the best interest of the animal at the forefront and make sure we offer safe products that work.

Vectra is all over Ebay now. This is how it starts. If it actually sells on ebay the diverters will get some. The Sherman Act look it up will allow them to do this. ProMeris said the same thing Vectra is saying and look up ProMeris now you can get it anywhere. The same thing will happen to vectra if there is ever a demand for it. The fact that they do not even have a 1% market share yet is why you cannot get it on the internet yet.

I have heard so much about how Vectra 3D is "vet only". Well, here's something to chew on....The Banfield Animal Hospitals at Petsmart stores are now carrying a product called First Shield Trio. It's the SAME active ingredients as Vectra 3D...AND you can buy it WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION. Banfield is very well known for wanting their own private labeled products and looks as though Summit has obliged them!!...with a product JUST LIKE Vectra 3D.

at half the price a clinic can buy vectra for

so why not use Bio Spot its alot less $$$$ and has about the same % of permethrin

I'm a diverter; well, not really. I have hunderds of vets that I get my goods from, then push them retail. If Vectra were worth pushing direct retail, we'd have it, and so would your local pet store.

If you ever actually see it on eBay, watch how quickly it gets taken down. That's Summit's anti-diversion technology at work. It has worked for 2 years and will continue to. As the products grows, they will put more resources behind it to track diverters.

Banfield entered into the same anti-diversion agreement with SVP as any other hospital does becuase they too were concerned with diversion. You cannot purchase the product without being a Banfield client. This is a fact. Call them and ask them. A regular PetSmart customer cannot take a pack of First Shield and bring it to the counter, pay for it, and walk out.

Hopefully you will use your profits to buy a good English textbook.

I have been watching Vectra on E-bay for some time now. It has never been taken down. It is selling really well! There is one man who seems to buy a LOT of it and I wonder if he works for the company. I know they use invisible ink barcodes (visible under black light) to track the product. I have thought about selling some. I have a place (not to be named) that I can call up and get as much as I want, no questions asked. I wonder how they do it, but I don't ask any questions...

Sorry to be so ignorant, but I do not understand what this means? Could someone explain?

Summit buys the product from the internet and uses the coding to trace where the Vectra originated from (vet hospital). Then they purse the vet because he or she would have violated the LEGALLY BINDING agreement. They cease dealing with that vet office from there on out.

I'd love to see the receipt from Banfield, if you're claiming the truth. They are not supposed to, and if they are, I'm sure SVP will do something about it.

I work at a Banfield, and it is really unbelievable how they are pushing this crappy product. I lost count of how many clients have come back after using Vectra(or FirstShield as it's now called) with fleas still on their pet or nasty rashes on their backs. Vets are supposed to be health professionals and scientists first, they should be recommending the product that works best and has been proven safest.

I am Bogdan Enache and the purpose of this email is to inform you that you are illegally selling our products online.
This product is regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and is only allowed to be sold in the United States by authorized veterinarian practices.
By way of this email, you are under notice that selling Summit products outside of a licensed Veterinary practice will result in legally actionable claims against you, including but not limited to a claim of tortuous interference in a contractual relationship. In addition, we will pursue reimbursement for any other related costs associated with this investigation and actions required to close this case file.
You must remove this product listing from eBay ASAP and within 24 hours or we will notify eBay and the EPA that we will begin to take legal actions against you.
I hope you understand the seriousness of this sale and promptly attend to this situation.

Regards,

Bogdan Enache

I also emailed another seller with Vectra listed..she ot the same email...

There is no legal recourse for Summit for those of you who put product on the internet. It is a pesticide, just like ant spray, or any other bug repellant or insecticide. The only contract that is breached, is the one between the vet and Summit. Summit now can refuse to sell the product to the vet that diverted or put on the internet. If you are a pet owner and you purchase some, go ahead and sell it on ebay. They cannot do anything to you, it is not illegal. Summit sells a brand of flea/tick under the Hartz name, why isn't that illegal, because it is just another pesticide.
