Vectra 3d Selling on Internet

Our veterinary group switch over from another product. We have had good response to the product. We have seen a couple mild reactions, but nothing serious. As for the rep.....your attitude it appaling and I am glad you have never walked into my office.

The only thing that I have heard of competitor reps discussions about Vectra is that it is a Hartz product; it is sold OTC; and a few lies about active ingredients. Question...Can you guys actually compare efficacy data and stuff that actually matters instead of lying to your clients? The other thing is I may personally feel like the "older" products (no products named) are crap, but I don’t play that immature game. It only degrades me and my product by talking down on other products. I thought I could get the same respect in return but as I can tell from my experience in the field and the dialogue on this site I can tell I was obviously wrong. Try selling Your products based on Your products instead of throwing around BS accusations about others. And FYI, we may not be able to stop unethical diverters who sell OTC after signing the anti diversion agreement, but Summit has had Vectra successfully removed in a timely manner EVERY TIME! Funny that you still tell your clients that it is available OTC. Get a life.....or maybe just get a better product!

The truth is, IF Vectra 3D ever has more than about 200k in sales, they won't be able to track the sales. It is virtually impossible with today's technology and regardless of how you track, you can't shut down every diverter out there. I have googled the product several times in the past few weeks and have been able to find it for sale via several internet sites. That's just the way it is.......

If there is no link between Hartz and Summit why does Hartz own the patent on the "new" active ingredient combination in Vectra 3D. This is not rumor/speculation it is a fact. A rumor would be the Dr. Albert Ahn left Summit due to the fact he knows Sumitomo is about to lauch the same product in the Hartz line.

...as are other things. I didn't see Bayer on there anywhere though, kudos to us!!!!

You don't see Bayer on there because your product sucks and they don't carry it. Get used to getting your assed kicked right off the shelf while you sit on this stupid web site all day and cry how you are losing business. By the way if you look at that web site you will notice they only sell it to their own clients. Not like the Bayer and Merial greedy reps have who have sold all over to known divertors and ruined it for the vet clinic owner. By the way I am a vet and I applaud Summit VetPharm for keeping the product in the hands of Vets and out of every pet store and farm store and pet related website. Bayer and Merial's product is now in Target for gods sake and is only $2 over my best price on the internet. Vectra not only works better than your product but protects my business as well. What a novel concept for vet clinic owners. Bayer and Merial are to stupid to get it and too greedy.

You're a dumbfuck and I'm so glad I don't deal with a dipshit like you! IF you are truly a vet, I doubt seriously you are worth a shit, or you wouldn't be on here, you fucking loser!! Now, go kill some fucking animals and fuck off douchebag! Bayer doesn't sell a fucking thing to Wal-Mart from our AH side, and before you argue with me, show a receipt or fuck off, understand there simple Simon?

As for diverters, EVERY manufacturer does, whethere they know it or not. How the fuck does EVERYTHING end up on the internet? Is Bayer also selling revolution, rimadyl, interceptor, sentinel, etc...

No, go fall on some scissors you waste of breath.

I know this is such a late response, but I was just reading these comments and laughing. No secret which company you work for given your response. Does cursing make you intimidating? No! You just degraded yourself and the company you represent. Great job. You handle yourself with such class.

Isn't frontline very available at all Target stores? I understand Merial ran a test with Target to sell frontline at 100 stores. The test was so successful that they are indeed selling frontline at all Target stores. Where is Target getting their product? They can't possibly be buying it from Merial, as Merial is such a Vet friendly company. But seriously, do you think Target is getting all of their product, nationwide, from a few diverters? Please post your comments. thank you.

I have been looking for Frontline at Target and have not seen it in any yet. The way I see it, Frontline is the biggest drug out there in the animal health industry and everyone wanted a piece of the pie. If Vectra gains a larger following than it will be out there and more available too. It's inevitable.

Geez - you are all freaking me out! I am the consumer, the pet owner. I want the safest, most effective product, at an affordable price. Why do I need to go into a vet's office to purchase flea prevention? When I have a bug bite - I go to whatever store is handy and buy OTC medication. News flash reps - Stores are more conveneint than getting to a vet's office.

I realize vets need to diversify their products in order to make some profit - so why don't all you braniac reps HELP the vets by creating "storefronts" in the offices and sell items that we probably don't need but will buy because the items are properly ...now here's a new word for you all.....marketed.

Now - back to the basics of selling....I need a product that works and I can easily purchase. I don't think vets or the consumer need to be taken to the cleaners by the deplorable representation of sales reps that I have seen on posting on this website.

Screw it - I'll just go homeopathic and make my own damn product just to stay away from you all!

Wow! I was searching to see if I could buy Vectra 3D on line for my new pup. This message board is full of Vipers! Such nastiness! I think one should be required to identify oneself. This ability to remain anonymous has encouraged you folks be rude and nasty for no apparent reason. Some of these replies could have been helpful instead of insulting. You shuold be ashamed of yourselves.

You must work for Merial, a company jealous of Vectra 3D knowing that it is a far superior product than Frontline Plus. It is time to move on. Do you find it hard to hide the fact that you are gay???

They do to now.

I tell all my accounts the truth:

Hartz and SummitVet Pharms profits get filtered on a balance sheet to the same company. Sumitomo=Hartz

Therefore they can pay for research with eachothers profits.
Hartz paid for Summit's original research on Dinotefuran. Google it.

Hartz and Summit are one in the same.

Thank you.

I have heard so much about how Vectra 3D is "vet only". Well, here's something to chew on....The Banfield Animal Hospitals at Petsmart stores are now carrying a product called First Shield Trio. It's the SAME active ingredients as Vectra 3D...AND you can buy it WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION. Banfield is very well known for wanting their own private labeled products and looks as though Summit has obliged them!!...with a product JUST LIKE Vectra 3D.
