Remember Bill Darnells team was last in the nation with Gardasil and Rota. Being nice and havine knowledge do not make you a competitive sales lead.
Most of success has to do with objective setting. Set it high and you fail, set it low and you are All-Star. One I know was great with a vaccine product one year and then very poor showing the next year. The reason was not that individual but the objective. Same territory, same customers, different objective based on unattainable increase in sales. Gardasil did well first two years due to publicity but now sucks due to Ponzi-like objective setting. All the low hanging fruit has been vaccinated, and 19-26 group is declining it.
