How can this list not include Jim Swanson? Totally screwed up the Commercial US IT team with his IT "Model" and misguided outsourcing decisions. Talk about throwing money into a huge black hole... Everything that organization touches is crap!

What a blast from the past! I was in MRL IT way back when he joined as the whiz kid from J&J ! Good to see he's making the rounds wrecking one division at a time. I'm sure he's irked by Clark getting from MRL IT to CIO - but he'd be at least 3rd in line on that list!

Excellent list...pretty much sums it up...The Peter Principle on display at Merck...I think you even nailed the order of the names pretty well...TN definitely deserves to be at the top..The only glaring omission from your Top Ten is Todd Putz...I mean, come on...he is the Putz Man...a guy like that only ends up in Big Pharma management...would not survive, (let alone make management) in any other industry...
