Systagenix/Wound Care

Does anyone else think this salesforce.com push is detrimental to the sales force? The set up is very clumsy, not user friendly at all, and frankly a waste of my time each week.

Moreover, reps are now being judged on how many BS calls, evaluations, and presentations they are making instead of what we are paid to do.....SELL!!!! I'm just saying its nice to have a tool to use, but its getting way out of control with all the reports and stuff.

No sales person that I know likes documenting sales activity, including me. It's mundane and takes away from selling. But comrades the reality is we are owned by a private company. SFDC entries show them what we are doing. 'Aint a bad thing to document activities in times like these.

People ought to suck it up, do their jobs and stop complaining so much. All the reason for my 'yawn' icon above. Home office, sales, EVERYONE!

Anyone is lucky to have a job in this tough economy. Stop being spoiled brats and do what is needed. Any company, in it's infancy, needs time to grow and prosper.

Funny - I don't think anyone would have this much to say if the posts were anything but 'anonymous'.....

Anyone interested in who I am???

NO

the problem that I have with Systagenix is that they overpromise & underdeliver. During the interview process they (RM) were claiming it is a $130-$160K position. IT IS NOT!!!!!!. So when you are only making $85-$90K a year you are not going to be happy. If systagenix would have set out realistic expectations on how much $ you would be able to make alot of people would not have taken the position. Because of that many have already left. It is not a bad job for $90K but an awful one if you think you are going to have the opprtunity to make $120K plus. Good Luck All

You're obviously NOT a rep. And I think you might be taking your job a little too seriously pal!

Only a few people will make money above the base salary they get. Some of the reps have annual quotas that are equal to one month quotas in most areas. When your number is less than 50k for the year it not too hard to be in the top. Meanwhile everybody else is getting killed and not making a dime. Disgusting.

Knocking the VP of sales is a bridge too far for me. The man has done nothing but make sure people are getting paid all year. He is a good man. There are a lot of issues, yes, but he is not one of them.

I couldn’t agree more, I think JP is one of if not the best upper managers I have ever worked for. The guy takes the time to listen and try to understand where we are coming from and see our issues. I really believe cares about his team and tries his best to do the right thing. Doesn’t mean he can wave a magic wand and fix all our issues, but I believe he is trying. Do you really think the extra $12,900 would ever have been paid if JP wasn’t here. We have some growing pains, but I think it would be a hell of a lot worse without JP.

Totally agree. He is sincere and fights for the field. He always does what's right and is not shy with speaking up. Really good guy.

You obviously know nothing about wound care.

Thanks kci guy. There are some hardcore koolaid drinking pricks that work here. This company will take your money and then kick you in the balls and the corporate koolaiders will say thank you and ask for another. With two great reps out the door recently and more on the way there may not be anybody left by the end of the year.

My comment "you obviously know nothing about wound care" was referencing the lipstick on a pig comment.
I am not a KCI person. I understand the science and innovation going on at Systagenix. Definitely not lipstick. If you don't get that, I hope you are not one of the sales executives.

Any day now a handful of reps will be gone. Some managers are calling pleading with reps not to interview or quit. Its too late the damage is done. Truth is only a few reps will make plan and money regardless of what management tells us. When reps can not make money and pay bills there is no reason to be here, simple as that.

Thanks for the info. I got a call from a recrtuiter regarding your company a couple days ago. Regardless of what the he told me, this place doesn't look like it would be a great career move for me or anyone right now! He touted 130k 1st year. Is that accurate? Doesn't seem like it after reading these posts.

I told him today, thanks, but no thanks.

It is funny how floodgate would tell candidates that it is 150k 1st year and now it is 130k. Truth is it is more like 90k. On paper this is a great job with great products and very good pay, pay that is way above other wound companies. Sadly nobody is making money except a few people. They are losing reps in large numbers and not backfilling any of these positions until next year so they can save money. That is some scary shit.

With these products and the talent that is here it should not be like this. So sad.
