Salient Surgical Technologies

i'm only asking because there seems to be a few other players making headway with entirely different technology platforms (more advanced, better) or similar ones that are cheaper

I don't think the new player's everyone is talking about are really making an impact yet. However, yet is the operative word. It will be interesting to see what players have a strong presence at AAOS and what happens after that.

It appears the Orthopat reps are about as happy and successful as the AQM reps. Which is not very.

Finally somebody picked up on the sarcasm. Selling blood management is a great concept but nobody really gives a shit about it. 1 out of 10 orthopods will look at technology the other 9 will use unwashed drains and 100 year old bovies. Do the devices work and save money for the hospital and provide a better alternative for patients? Yes but patients do just fine with unwashed systems as they have for years and years for a fraction of the cost. These jobs are very tough and on paper they look like a no brainer and you say "why wouldnt a Surgeon use them?".

Potential reps read this thread and the Haemonetics thread and believe what is posted. You will wish you never made the move.

Not the case.. company grew 30%!! Many territories had new reps, ATS filled and expansion. Top sales people are less than 2 years - bottom feeders are prior to 08. I will hit $200k - you won't - my guess is your pre 08 - go back to pharma bud - cater a lunch and get a signature. Too much challenge for you here. Not cutting it. Just a Whiner. Nobody likes a whiner>>

So, you had to post this twice with slightly different verbage, why? Me thinks thost dost protest too much.

I keep learning new things! So, JS bought his way in? Are we talking about JS the former RBD, now AVP or someone else?

As for the speculation of posters, isn't interesting that someone or multiple people are irked enough to try and blame one person. I think the one poster was correct in both of their posts in that it's disgruntled employees (plural) and former employees (also plural).

As for people trying to get out, there is plenty of Salient "paper" on the street and only a matter of time before they leave. I'm sure they are doing as I am and being VERY careful about where they go. No one wants to endure another Salient experience.

And 90% happy? After the new comp plan? I doubt 90% were happy with a salary cut and standard, across the board growth quota. They got out the calculator and realized how little they would make even if they out perform. I believe they do not speak up given the retaliatory behavior of management.

JS, as in the Lance Armstrong of devices.

As opposed to all the fucking happy employees? (plural)
