Salient Surgical Technologies

Hey M244, can you believe that you, me and M125 are that prolific? LMAO! I guess they didn't see the list of posters that cropped up around the time of the NSM......

It would be great if folk got back to using the alphanumerics to denote themselves anonymously.

HO really are dumb if they think that its just a few posters gobbing off. There's a lot of fucked off people out here.

Comes down to three scenarios:
Obviously, not working at Salient. If you are, then your just plain stupid to stay here if you don't like it or you are so horrible you can't find any work. 90% of the people are very happy here.

So which is it?
1. Disgruntled Employee
2. Stupid for staying in a job you don't like
3. So horrible in sales - no one else will hire you

That is interesting on who is on this site. Lets see, that is a good question. Ring a bell JS!! Be glad you still have one of two friends that need your money. That million did allow you to get a job.

Good luck to everyone still grinding it out with the water pick.

I keep learning new things! So, JS bought his way in? Are we talking about JS the former RBD, now AVP or someone else?

As for the speculation of posters, isn't interesting that someone or multiple people are irked enough to try and blame one person. I think the one poster was correct in both of their posts in that it's disgruntled employees (plural) and former employees (also plural).

As for people trying to get out, there is plenty of Salient "paper" on the street and only a matter of time before they leave. I'm sure they are doing as I am and being VERY careful about where they go. No one wants to endure another Salient experience.

And 90% happy? After the new comp plan? I doubt 90% were happy with a salary cut and standard, across the board growth quota. They got out the calculator and realized how little they would make even if they out perform. I believe they do not speak up given the retaliatory behavior of management.

I believe there are less than 10 people who post on this site. This is a D level medical job and a resume killer so I understand all the nasty posts although the company sucked before they got here so they should have known what they were getting into and it will suck when they leave.

Anybody who would stay employed with ANY company after they cut your salary without a guarantee on the backend is a fool.

Very "Salient" point.

F099 yet another poster and not in the NE.

Not sure what the noise about the salary cut is about? The at plan comp is the same as 2009. And the quota is less? Personally, I am going to blow it out! Not sure the disgruntled ex employees or low performers understand this... LMAO DMAO ... but maybe some people need the salary cause they can't sell ... TC... oh well - keep blaming others if it makes you feel better about yourself. LOL = Loser of Losers

LOL = Loser of Losers, glad to see you signed this correctly!

As to the above, check back with everyone at the end of this year. That's if the plan doesn't change repeatedly throughout the year again.

Glad to hear you're going to "blow it out" but here are a few facts.

46 out of the 75 territories at year end did not hit 200k in growth last year. That's 61% that would not have been at plan. So 61% can't sell? Did management do that poor of job hiring and training?

A number of people that did have strong growth last year were counting on their higher salaries, which they were hired at or earned, plus the benefit of their hard work and growth to give them a good bump in pay, not earn the same.

Only time will tell how this will play out but, having you salary cut is a slap in the face. Having the same growth quota (hard dollars, not %) set without looking at individual territory performance and potential, is just a sign of lazy management. It would be a different story if a straight % was assigned, that would then adjust for individual territory size, etc.

So, you go blow it out but keep in mind there are many people who can sell but find the plan demotivating.

If that's what you believe.. simply not the case. Proves you do not know what your talking about. Company grew 30% - many territories were expansion, new reps, ATS filled - so the figure is mis-leading. My guess is that you have been hanging on too long - interesting top salespeople are mostly 08 and after hires and the bottom is full of 07 and prior? Very interesting.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out! Seeyah! I will surpass the 200k nut and you will be lucky to sell $100k. I love it... ypur too busy complaining to sell. You need to go back to PHARMA! Order lunch and get your signatures...

Not the case.. company grew 30%!! Many territories had new reps, ATS filled and expansion. Top sales people are less than 2 years - bottom feeders are prior to 08. I will hit $200k - you won't - my guess is your pre 08 - go back to pharma bud - cater a lunch and get a signature. Too much challenge for you here. Not cutting it. Just a Whiner. Nobody likes a whiner>>
