Salient Surgical Technologies

Facinating, shower of shit. Follow the butterfly! Amazing, that someone finally found a way to express the true feelings for their experience. Just think of the possibilities that will allow. The truth is easy or hard to swallow. Which one are you?

Did you ever happen to hear his tirade on Hironimus? Unbelievable! He hates anyone associated with USS/Covidien.

As for missing deadlines...his favorite trick is to send the email and not attach the file that is due or attach the wrong file. By the time it's noticed he has the task completed and sends the correct one. Priceless!

Or, he can't get logged in or he can't get service or he's "out of pocket" (my personal favorite) or he misread the date it was due "I apologize". How many times can you "misread" deadlines?

He also apparently never charges his Blackberry as the battery is always going dead when you call him. Somebody send him a car charger, PLEASE!

I think anyone that thinks that companies do not view these boards needs to do a little more research. Maybe the execs at Salient don't but if you do some research there have been lawsuits brought trying to determine certain posters. If you go on KCI board there is a discussion how they have blocked cafe pharma from company computers. So in some instances big brother is watching

Okay, could you put the pipe down and post something less esoteric and more direct? Or are you a manager and incapable of clear and direct communication?

I'm sorry but, if you use your company computer to post here, you're an idiot.

Here you go......http://volokh.com/posts/1203017211.shtml

As you can see Cafe Pharma states they do not keep IP addresses or other information on anonymous posts. Now, check the paranoia at the door........

Did something rub you the wrong way? May I make a suggestion? If you're one of the people named in a post, change your behavior. If your a manager allowing the abominable tactics to continue around you, change your behavior. If you're simply an observer and easily offended, don't look.

This guy you are talking about is a manager, correct? Until he reports to you why the fuck do you care if his phone is dead or he doesnt send an email in time?

You guys are wasting time complaining about shit like this. Be honest here, do you really think you can sell this product and make money? Yeah I didnt think so. Customers do not want it either so you should really focus your efforts on getting out before you waste another year dealing with the same issues, same management, same story that reads great on paper but in reality is not medically necessary.

If you do believe this product works and you think you can sell it lets hear that too.

Well, when he's your manager and you need to talk to him, it is a problem! Also, when he sends you an email at the last minute telling you to get something done because HE misread a deadline, that's a problem. So, people do care.

As for "it reading great on paper" what paper? Do you know something we don't? If we had strong studies, we'd be in a much better position.

When I say "it reads great on paper" it means using the product appears to be a great story. Saves blood, saves money, better clinically/economically. This reads great to investors, recruiters, potential reps who have no idea about this board. It has nothing to do with a paper. This company is like Haemonetics. Check out that board, same shit. Get out while you can or else you will have the same issues this time next year. Only you are to blame if you stay here.

Couldn't agree more! It's not just not having any idea about this board, it's not having any idea about the cold, hard truth! It's not until you get immersed do you realize that they do not see any value in investing in studies. That R&D is a disaster and clinical affairs is a joke run by a guy with no clinical experience who actually says "don't lead with the papers". Are you kidding? Not to mention the lack of quality in management.

Trust me, I am getting out........

I checked the FDA website for any filings for new devices or applications like we were told about at the NSM and I don't see anything.

Wouldn't they have to apply for those? and if they were coming out this year, Q2/Q3, Would they not have to apply fairly soon?

Hello, McFly.......

Please tell me you didn't believe any of that? Were you there last year when we were told we would have a device last year that would cut?

If only the surgeons and hospitals were as gullible, we'd be on easy street!

Do you have any idea how long in advance you apply for this sort of thing? I wouldnt hold my breath...

For 510K submittal you have to have a response from the FDA in six months. Usually after the filing your response can be as quick as three months. That would depend on how you submit your information. If the product is a piggy back (lack of better words) it should move pretty quickly through the process. Either way it is a law that you will hear back within six months on the approval. So yes, I would have to already be submitted!!!

Joe said three years ago that there would be a product released every quarter as well. Hope this info. helps.

The salesforce is so clinically inexperienced with a few exceptions, they would not even think to ask the question and just blindly believe whatever they're told.

I have to say.....for the most part, I agree. Some of us do know and just shake our heads, roll our eyes and walk away quietly enjoying the look of enthusiasm on the yet to be initiated or just to foolish to know any better.

The MBS and EVS were filed in 07 and they both came out 2 years later so what does that tell you.......

I wouldn't expect anything new this year. If I was on the board, I'd be asking Joe to cut his salary right along with the sales force! Better yet, step down take his ineffective management team with him. Then maybe they could put a real CEO in place who knows how to run a medical device company, understands the market and actually could bring new products out as promised.

I can't believe that other poster even suggested someone would be "watching" I seriously doubt anyone in management cares what's on here. They seem to care very little about anything. Regardless, if you check the above link, Cafe Pharma states they do not capture any identifying info so, post away with abandon......
