Rheumatology Specialty Positions (New)

The same here, mostly tell me about your collaborative work experience. The great thing is there is only going to be one counterpart. Huge territory. I heard $500 month car allowance and 18 cents a mile for gas. We'll lose money while the counterpart has a company car and all expenses paid.

It's in the paperwork you received earlier in the process. The car allowance is $600/month and 19 cents/mile.

I was told offers needed to be accepted by the week of the17th but the decisions would be made by Friday. I guess everyone got different stories depending on where they were.

I'm still waiting to hear. It's been dead silence all day today. I was really hoping to get closure today, after 3 months of waiting. Oh well, hopefully Monday will bring good news.

RECEIVED MY OFFER YESTERDAY, START DATE 10/8 OR 10/15 $600 MONTH CAR ALLOWANCE 20 CENTS A MILE. AGAIN ALL DEPENDS ON FDA APPROVAL.

OK I am now officially bummed. I really thought I wold get this position,, bt if offers did indeed go out yesterday, I guess I am screwed :(

I thought that too, when I least expected it I got a call.
Don't give up yet, do you have the Publicis persons email or card? It doesn't hurt to at least give them a call. Good Luck.

Upper 70's for specialty? WOw they sure got you for a bargain. Remember too POTENTIAL bonus usually turns into less unless you have a great area to launch a drug

No kidding, but this is contract. If you don't have a job (which I didn't) and living on unemployment for 20 months (which I was) with no insurance and lost nearly everything. I had no negotiating power. Just thank you sir may I have another.

Oh and by the way, the Pfizer rep is getting high 90's (maybe more) with company care and much better benefits. And huge territories.

But this is our world now, we're much better off now than we were 4 years ago.

Thanks for the pep talk. What area are you in? I had e-mailed and called my recruiter yesterday but no response. I have been 2nd choice so many times I am not sure why I would have expected different this time. What day did you have your meet and greet?

Has anyone who had a meet and greet in Chicago hear anything yet?

All offers have not gone out yet. Publicis was still doing meet and greets up til the end of lst week. I was told that I would hear something early next week and that the start date would be Oct 8th. Don't give up just yet!

Totally understand your situation. Everyones is different. Problem with this scenario is you will be working just as hard for 2 managers and making much less than the Pfizer reps.
Glad you found a job just hope the drug gets approved on time.

Not high 70s! Low to mid 70s...Maybe it depends on your geography and cost of living, but I doubt it. Quit complaining about the salary. If you received an offer you are fortunate. Do you realize how many pharma reps are unemployed right now? Count your blessings. Those reps making in the 90s may be without a job in the future. Everything today is short term. From someone who almost lost everything, I would be very fortunate to have this job.

Never complained just was stating a fact. What would $78k be low to mid 70's? With that being said I'm thrilled I have only have one counterpart (no POD meetings etc) I was out of work 20 months, I had no insurance and I've had cancer. I thank my lucky stars I got this job. If they offered me $60k I would have taken it. This was my first interview since December. One thing I will tell everybody, you really find out who your friends are. Everybody stops calling, because they know they could be next and they don't want to know what could happen to them.

All offers that are going to go out, have gone out. Some areas they will have to start all over again because Pfizer didn't think the candidates were good enough. If you have not received an offer, it's not coming. No BS, I promise. Sorry to those that were strung out for months. It really does suck.
