Rheumatology Specialty Positions (New)

REALLY? I'VE BEEN OUT OF WORK 18 MONTHS THIS WAS MY FIRST INTERVIEW SINCE FEBRUARY. SO GET USED TO IT.

Oh I am used to it. this is my third lay off since I lost my longtime career in March 2010. It's difficult being "older" in the workplace. Experience and a previously high salary wrk against yu all the time. I have taken jobs without benefits that pay $40,000/yr. I just don;t want o lose my house and everything I worked for 20 years for. Since March 2010 I have worked a total of 15 months, downsized twice for being the least tenured rep at low paying jobs I took just to get by. Trust me I am used to it.

Do you really want to work for pfizer? Very military style and hard core training. Think about it? If you are young I would say yes, older you might be pushed into disability.

If they get the Nov 21st go ahead and it takes 5 weeks to complete training .....things could be on track. Did they give you any date/dates as to when meet and greet might take place? Thanks for info, hope you get an offer!

They will not have any training at all until the drug is approved and even then it may take some time after that,
Ironwood just had ther approval last week and reps arent starting until October

Wrong. Keep thinking that way superstar. Without Rheum experience it will be 6 months until your first detail. The contract is for 17 months.

No I hate to say you are wrong. They are going to take care of any Ocean Rep that has pain management and/or Rheum experience. They are going to retain as many current reps as possible instead of going out and hiring new people. I would start looking for other positions superstar

Need to have a lot of yrs and exp and selling to rheum is needed. Did you guys know this hasnt been approved and won't be re looked at until nov 21 don't get too worked up

You all are misinformed. I was told that offers will be made right after the meet and greets. Where is your meet and greet?

Do you think offers will be made contingent on approval? That's at least 2months away if not more. Just look at the Lundbeck board. Same thing happened there and drug as delayed. Reps got offers in July for August approval and won't be approved till 2013. Good Luck!

REMEMBER THIS IS PFIZER NOT SOME FLY BY NIGHT PHARMA COMPANY

Offers will not be contingent! Start date is October 8 (before, not after, approval). Training is before drug gets approved. My question is what happens if they extend the approval date again...after all on board and trained...anyone have contract experience with this scenario?

Only take these positions if your unemployed!! If they extend the approval date again, they won't keep you around. Do you honestly think they are going to continue to pay reps if they have nothing for them to sell?
