Rheumatology Specialty Positions (New)

All offers that are going to go out, have gone out. Some areas they will have to start all over again because Pfizer didn't think the candidates were good enough. If you have not received an offer, it's not coming. No BS, I promise. Sorry to those that were strung out for months. It really does suck.

And how do you know this? Are you from Pfizer management? I don't think you should be upsetting people unnecessarily. Some where told they would hear next week, so I am sure NOT all offers have gone out. Why don't you shut up and stop stirring the pot. I bet you got rejected and are just bitter.

And please remember this, Publicis has the final say on all the candidates period. The Pfizer manager has no say at all. That is the fact.

This is not true. The Pfizer manager has to give their blessing otherwise you don't get hired. Don't forget whose really paying the bills. Pfizer is the client not Publicis.

Its not that bad. Look at the stock market for crying out loud.

Also, this should pick up after the election REGARDLESS of who wins (although, it should be obvious that if the Mormon wins, companies will be more aggressive.

You have to remember that these corporations are all about profit, and they will need sales reps out there to pimp their products, which is where we come in.

To be scared, is foolish.

To be prudent, is smart.

Cut down the expenses and save when you are working. Its not scary. Its not complicated.

OK so what is the truth? Does Publicis have the last word, or Pfizer? Have all the offers gone out? Do those of us who have not been contacted hold on to hope. or start drinking and crying?

Publicis has last word, with that being said we were suppose to be contacted either way. But I'd still send emails or make a phone call if I had a business card.

RECEIVED MY OFFER YESTERDAY, START DATE 10/8 OR 10/15 $600 MONTH CAR ALLOWANCE 20 CENTS A MILE. AGAIN ALL DEPENDS ON FDA APPROVAL.

To those who have received offers, did they come via phone call or e-mail? Were they from the manager you interviewed with or your recruiter?

What part of the country have received offers thus far? Are they all in just one area or have all offers gone out as of 9:00 AM EDT Monday 9/17/12?

Has anyone received notice that they were not selected?

Mine was a phone call by the Publicis manager, I can't give away my geography (sorry) because you never know who reads this and I don't want to be outed.

Offers went out Friday. Mine was a phone call from Publicis. Pfizer does have a say, this much I know based on my final interview. I can't say why but I know this is true. If you didn't get a call, time to move on. Stay positive. I went through several interviews with other companies (phone and face to face) before this one. You will click with someone eventually and get the job.

Just out of curiosity, those of you who were hired. what age demographic do you fall into?
I am from an older demographic (over 45) and seem to get passed over repeatedly. I am a multiple award winner winner with years of successes, but cant seem to get anything since I was downsized from my long time former employer.
Are there others out there who fit this same profile? What do we do? I am way to young to retire but seem to be "too old" to get hired.

Come on publicis recruiters! Prove everyone wrong and be professionals. All you have to do is email people an answer; even if it is disappointing. There weren't only but two potentials per territory, that means only a couple of emails or calls per recruiter. Most of us understand that not everyone can get the spot, if we don't get the job, at least extend some respect and compassion....

To those of you who have received offers, are any of you over 45 or 50 years of age? I seem to be passed over time and time again by much younger candidates. I am a multiple award winner who was doing fantastic before I was downsized. Now I can't seem to get a contract position. I don't know anyone else who is "more mature" that has landed a position either. Just saying... do we have any recourse?
