Reasons why I had to leave Zoll

























Just one of many examples how upper management is misleading new hires. STOP YOUR EXAGERRATIONS AND LIES! THIS IS NOT THE CASE PEOPLE. THIS IS MOST LIKELY AN AREA DIRECTOR WHO NEEDS ABLE BODIES TO MAKE HIS NUMBERS.

Thank you. All these bs posts are just that. If anyone has any doubt, just go check the list of vacancies. It is even longer one day after the next. The average tenure is down to 1 year. This place is a hell hole for tms and rms. Don't believe it? Then just ask the list of questions on the many CP posts during your interview and see what you are told.
 












In my 2 year tenure at Zoll as a TM:

* my goal was raised 109 times
* I was paid on only 65% of my orders
* Commission reversals affected 72 of 107 goal segments - creating a deficit each segment I had to overcome before my sales counted for commission. This cost me my commission many times.
* My clinical team turned over 3 times - all PSRs run off by being disregarded by management, unpaid for correcting constant errors by Zoll (bad/incomplete equipment, delayed fittings, sent to the wrong location) - forcing me to constantly recruit and train new folks and fill vacancies with my own time
* My weekends were constantly interrupted with uncommissioned and irrelevant work and patient problems that Zoll should have handled, but didn't
* I missed the last 3 family holidays because Zoll couldn't handle patient problems themselves. Why those of us scheduled to be off have to work because those who are scheduled to be on can't handle the volume, I still don't understand.
* MANY of my weekends were shot because Zoll runs a skeleton crew of scheduled staff inside, forcing those of us who are scheduled to be off to cover for the shortage. And when we call in, we are treated like WE are interrupting THEM, when WE are supposed to be off.

And despite the above list, the biggest reason is that I have never been more disregarded as an employee by any other employer in my life. I am so grateful to be gone. I have my life and my sanity back.


This is my life exactly. But I FINALLY GOT OUT! Yeehaw, I have my life back!!! Life is fun again!
 






Because only 30% of the field are Firebrands

This is rapidly changing as we work to move some of the legacy whiners out an young talent in. The growth the company is posting is unparalleled by any of the CRM companies. We essentially leapfrogged them and we are the new pacesetter in the cardiac device company race. Oh and yes, you're nursing experience isn't valued in the least. I'm bringing in young, hungry, jacked guys/girls from Enterprise and other great sales training programs. If you haven't been replaced you will be soon.

This has been my life for over a year. Finally got a job and on the way out. Worst mistake of my career. Peace out ZOLL.
 






How many legacy reps are there? What area of the country are they in & are they leaving?

Any remaining legacy reps have been able to dodge bankruptcy through territory re-alignments. Some have been transferred to different territories and get to start from scratch. My best guess would be it's less than 5% of the current sales force. Average tenure with the company is only about 18-24 months. About 90% of TMs and RMs leave around that time frame. The one's that stay don't need the money and can live off their base salaries while looking for another job. Let's face it, this is our reality. Good people don't tend to put up with this garbage. LV senior management really don't care the situation and are masking by hiring consultants. The big question is will senior executives be fired so the ones below can actually make the necessary changes.

They will never change their mindset. The corporate ghosts in the background like ML won't let them. It's all about them. They really don't care about the field.

Isn't amazing how top TMs and RMs keep leaving and people still choose to ignore the warning signs to come here. This is the worst company in med devices to work for. Almost out of here!
 






OK SO LIFE AT ZOLL:

I WAS THERE FOR 2 YEARS 8 M0NTHS UNDER ONE OF THE WORST MANAGERS.
She had 150% turnover in the short period of time I was there.
the quota is ridiculous and increases every 2 weeks.
It does not matter how many orders you get or "sell". You do not get paid if the company does not get paid. Problem is, the company does not have a decent contracting team. This is because the company has not invested in doing the clinical studies to support this product. They don't want to expose the lack of compliamce to this product. The company is trying to figure out a way to HIDE the non-compliance from MEDICAID AND MEDICARE- GUESS WHAT- THAT IS FRAUD.

OH AND DONT FORGET THE PATIENT HATES !!! wearing the lifevest because again Zoll will not invest in making it fit better and be more comfortable for the patient. They have not updated that monitor either.

There is no competition, so Zoll doesn't give a crap about making it better for the patient, the prescriber and lastly the rep.

Also, as your orders start to grow so does your PIA=PAIN IN THE ASS FACTOR. LET ME EXPLAIN-
1. PATIENT ALARMS AND GONGS GO OFF
2. PATIENT GETS $20,000 BILL - GUESS WHAT HIS EF IMPROVED -BUT now he is going back into HEART FAILURE OVER this bill
3. PHYSICIAN AND OFFICE AND HOSPITAL GETS HARRASSED BY ZOLL FOR MEDICAL DOCUMENTS FOR MONTHS WHILE ZOLL TRIES TO LIE TO INSURANCE COMPANIES


THIS JOB IS ONLY A STOP GAP ,MEASURE- IT IS NOT A CAREER.

I GAVE MY 2 WEEKS NOTICE AND NOW THE COMPANY WILL NOT PAY MY COMMISSIONS-

SO ZOLL PEOPLE- RESIGN ON THE LAST DATE YOU WANT TO BE PAID - BECAUSE ZOLL WILL NOT DO THE HONOURABLE THING-

THEY KEEP SAYING THEY WANT TO MAKE IT BETTER FOR THEIR REPS- ha ha ha- JUST ANOTHER WAY FOR THIS COMPANY TO DANGLE THE CARROT
 






My favorite was when they stopped processing orders on Sundays. Like people don't get discharged on Sundays.

Then the BEST PART was when they started processing orders again on Sundays, but were told NOT TO TELL THE SALES FORCE. As if (a) we wouldn't figure it out, (b) we didn't need to know (what other company would think its a good thing that their sales reps don't know when they can provide their own products??) and (c) like would in any way influence when orders come in or not.

This place is a JOOOOOOOOOOOKE.
 






I FORGOT TO ADD:

YES you will never be apart of a company where the corporate team is the "sales prevention team" .
they have AC's- glorified clerks who will control how you run your territory( into the ground) because they are incentivized to keep a tight control on inventory which will drive your PSR's crazy driving all around to get inventory and will then be late to fit the patient at the hospital- oh and then your physician will be angry at you the sales rep,

I even had my ac question me on why I was doing another inservice on the 3rd floor of a hospital - seriously

I interviewed today and the hiring manager actually showed me this post. He didn't show me the others, guessing he was hoping I wouldn't look!!
