Pharmacyclics is hiring...

Yeah Champ, Ibrutinib looks like it's going to be a tough sell. Your experience and relationships are going to make all the difference. After all, no one would ever have touched a vial of Rituxan without you, right?

You are a joke. Obviously in a launch experience is essential to have a faster uptake and to capture more of the opportunities than someone out there like you and your kind Champ! It's mentalities like yours that keep you average and overlooked and insecure!

Hey, for those of you who interviewed with PCYC, have you gotten word if you are in the finals yet? I was told I would have heard by now so I think they are behind in interviewing every one throughout the whole country. They don't have a CP board yet so I figured I would ask y'all because the senior leadership jumped off of your ship. You did not dissapoint me by having this thread going. Thanks for any real in the know answers.

I respect your company and the reps I have met. I do have some heme experience with a smaller company and would love a job with PCYC. It would be interesting to know the real reasons why so many of your managers and leaders left. If it ain't broke...

Thanks!

Rejects and assh@les that's who left so have fun working for those micro managers and you better delivery on that forecast or you are done automically going to fire the bottom 15% per year. They need this drug to hit and no excuses hit your number or they will find someone else.

I've bought my first shares in PCYC at 4 bucks a share back in February 2010. Hitting the numbers with this drug is going to be like getting wet jumping in a swimming pool. Ibrutinib is going to be a 5 + billion dollar drug by 2018.

Careful friend, you haven't seen the number yet. Lest ye forget the bloody tale of DNDN, three years ago it peaked at $54, today it closed at $4. An effective drug and a turd of an organization.

Stop it Rodney! We know is you because of the spelling and grammatical errors. Steve gave you a huge break by hiring you after our rightsizing. You just can’t keep up with us. Steve is a great leader. We have had the most promotions (DS,RS,SW,KB) Yes, Steve gets full credit for KB. DS keeps telling us he is getting promoted at BioOnc to TM. Yes, Steve gets full credit for DS. We have had the most national and regional leadership assignments (FBTs, RPT, Hospital, Reimbursement, & RSPI). AD got a BFRM preceptorship from his behind the scenes a year earlier. 2 on the team could not wait to work for Steve a 2nd time. All of us have had our best performance years under Steve. We know he fights for our ratings, assignments, and $$ increases. He protected SP’s territory for a year during JPs treatments for his brain tumor. Plus got her a huge severance when she left. He supported SC for months after he returned from his stroke. Tammy and Marla both got MVP awards because of Steve. Steve left because of Liz. RF and DR left is because they didn’t want to work with her. Didn’t you all dread your call with Liz? I could hear typing in the background of her doing emails. For the PCYC Candidates - Steve is awesome and you would be lucky to work with him. If he had a territory for all of us, we ALL would come over. So stop it Rodney!

Heard that phone interviews and some F2F have occurred for rep positions. There are candidates that have made it to the final round (final 2 candidates, one will get an offer).
Can anyone tell where the territories are? Have any reps been hired, or is there a wait for approval?

Before you sign with Pharmacyclics it would be wise to consider these financial details first. Figure in a $12,000 to $14,000 hole when you get the comp package... Better be at least a $30k bump in base pay minimum to leave to be worth it even with other PCYC perks!

1. 401k GNE very good vs. PCYC lame (3K/yr.) Difference- $10,000 - $12,000 hit/year.

2. GNE pays for Internet $100/month, $1200/year, car washes $12/week, $576/year, Field Salesforce Gym membership up to $600/year. Total $2,376 hit a year.

3. Loss of GNE Stock options ...? BIG $$$

4. Car Allowance, Mileage ??? Could be big $$$

5. Vacation time... starting over and break between Christmas and New Years ?

If Genentech doesn't offer an incentive to stay - I would be very surprised! The Hematology Salesforce is going to be hit hard just before launch... timing couldn't be worse!

The medical benefits at Pharmacyclics is not as generous - competitive! It has to be made up on the base salary. The base is the only thing you can count on year to year to make up for their watered down package listed above.
